used to work in a supermarket close to a weatherspoons and yes they did come in regular for chips and veg (frozen) and salad stuff and toilet roll...be loyal, be loud, be cas, be proud

Used to go often for a meal in clacton-on-sea.It has been getting worse eveytime we go.The last time we went it looked like they had dropped the food on the floor and then put it on the plate. That was the last time we went there and will never return. The place is dirty and needs health and safety to pay a visit.
We have been to other weatherspoons and they were fine.0 -
What do you expect. It is microwaved food, not as far as I know cooked from scratch. Moving over to the vent board.Member no.1 of the 'I'm not in a clique' group :rotfl:

My local one has just been refurbished and with that seemed to come a change of manager. Now the food is actually quite good, used to be awful! Biggest surprise was the steak I had, nicely cooked (rare) and flavoursome. This was on the wine festival deal of two steaks and any bottle of wine (except a couple of the most expensive) for £14.99 - bargain!0

re; complaining to wetherspoons - whatever your complaint is they send out the same letter that mentions inspectors and mystery shoppers etc. you have to complain a second time to get a proper reply or voucher.0

I have to say, we use the local Wetherspoons in Grimsby [Yarborough Hotel] and it's beyond fantastic in terms of staff, food, portion size, tastiness and prices0

But they did refund you your money, not everywhere today does that, most argue back and tell you to lump it.0

And the manager is ultimately responsible, if this happened you would expect the manger to ensure it doesn't happen again, if it was the first time in history under this management that it happened then it is only partially their fault, if it is the second time or more then it is pretty much all their fault.
As an aside, I would have thought this would be better in the vent board as it is just a bad experience in one branch. Rather than a known indemic problem with the company.0 -

And you should under those circumstances tell them to lump it, give them your name and address and tell them to "bite my shiny @$$" walk out without paying. Or pay an amount YOU consider appropriate.0
