Im not tarring them all with the same brush, but IMHO they should all be up to the same standards, or change the management of a branch whom dish out sub-standard food!

    Don't you mean the chef?

I have had a few evenings at Wetherspoons. I would not go there if I wanted a nice meal out, but Burger, chip sna d abeer for £3.99, can't be bad for an evening snack... The breakfast was cheap too, although I must say I had to wait a while for it as they were so busy. I would have to say I am quite positive about them..
NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!

I work along from a Wetherspoons and amongst other sights, I see what their delivery lorries offload every week. You won't find me eating in there.

I did once, before I knew better, and the food was abominable.

And the 2 meals for £5.99 deal is appauling - the food is of a very low quality and not very filling.

To be fair, what do you expect for that price? It works out about the same if not cheaper that a trip to McDonalds! Isn't that the deal where you get a drink aswell?
Personally I think the meals are good value - you get what you pay for afterall.

No, you don't get a drink for that price as well.

There are other pubs and restaurants who offer a similar deal, or BOGOF and the meals are much much MUCH better than Wetherspoons offering. I wouldnt expect it to be fantastic, but if a smaller local pub can make something nice and filling for the price - so can Wetherspoons.

Its the management thats in charge of the Staff and the Chefs isnt it?

And I paid over £10..00p for both meals, did not use the 2 for the price of one! So for that price I did expect something alot better!

I see what you're saying. You've hit the nail on the head, a smaller local pub probably doesn't have the demand that a large town centre pub does, hence the better quality, ingredients, time etc perhaps?

As long as they keep doing the great priced drinks, I eat there!!!
