I'm waiting for a halfcost order which should have been delivered by HDN. It was sent out as 3 parcels rom the same order. 2 arrived but the third didn't. It is now 2 weeks since they were dispatched.0

I have spoken to the people at HDN twice today. Lovely, eh? The first person was a bloke, who told me the parcel should be with me within 48 hours. Erm, not unless they deliver Christmas day! The second was a young girl, who suggested I go out and buy another PS3, and get a refund on the play one! Cheeky sod. :mad:0

I have the same problems, useless if you ask me!!!
I have joined a group on facebook called "HDNL are !!!!ing useless" - Sums them up perfectly

Sorry to hear that Ben. Especially about the prezzies. Well harsh, eh?!
I'm still holding out for a delivery tommorow, though doubt I'll be in what with Christmas eve things to do. Oh well. I know for next time....make sure there isnt a next time!0 -
I ordered many items from Amazon before christmas. All the ones sent by Royal Mail arrived fine. The one item sent by HDNL still has yet to arrive, despite the fact that according to the order tracking facility on Amazon's website, the parcel left the Carlisle depot on three seperate days to be delivered but was then scanned back into the depot at the end of each day. On all those days I was in all day, and the Royal Mail managed to deliver. No word from HDNL, no card through my letter box. So what is going on? My parcel is put in a van on each of those days and just driven around for the fresh air, before being returned to the depot? To Amazon's credit, I rang them today and they are resending the goods. Too late for my godson's xmas though...0

I placed an order with Boots.com on 14th Dec and chose my delivery date for the 21st. I ordered 12 items in the 3 for 2 offer and when i opened the box i had 10! Called customer service which were very good and told me that the other 2 items were out for delivery very strange! The 1st delivery was at 10.40 so i waited in all day tracked my order all it said was out for delivery very helpful! When i thought all was lost my parcel finally arrived at 8.30pm. Wont be ordering from Boots again will go out in future. Cant understand why they didnt put both boxes on delivery van at same time as everything was order at same time.0

The husband/wife team who deliver for HDN in my area are really fantastic. They arrive early every time and they are very polite and efficient. You can`t say that all of HDN is bad because of a few0

Unfortunately, judging from the amount of forum posts on this subject, it seems the good drivers are in the minority and the way HDNL are operating they will soon wear those drivers down.
Retailers use them because they are cheap - they are cheap because they pay their staff poorly and work them too hard - overworked drivers make mistakes and have to cut corners to get the job done.
The only thing that will reduce the amount of retailers using HDNL is customers making sure they speak to the retailer regarding delivery issues not HDNL. The retailers would then get a clear picture of what and where the issues were. If the retailer tells you to deal with the courier direct, you should refuse and force the retailer to fulfil their contract with you and deliver your goods!0 -
Our HDN driver is excellent, really helpfull , no problems here0
