It's hard not to when you see people going out of their way to upset someone looking for advice on a sensitive matter.
I know but it only spurs them on to post more as they are the kind of people who just don't care about anyone else or what they say, they just want a reaction and you give it to them.0 -

I agree. The constant speculation about an older man etc. must be very distressing for the OP.0 -
Just spent an hour reading through this thread and couldn't leave without commenting.
Poppyfield - you're doing great! You sound really supportive and just the type of mum a girl needs in this situation. Well doneI hope you and your daughter work everything out. It can't be easy but you'll get through it. Keep strong!

I have followed this thread since the beginning but haven't had anything to add to the great advice you have received so far.

Why are so many posters hell bent on trying to unmask the father as some sort of married 40year old sexual predator.0

I've read through the whole thread I just wanted to say that you look like a good mum. I hope your daughter comes to the right decision for her.
Good luck

There is a chance the father is someone in a position of power, but in all probability it's someone much closer to her own age.0 -

As I said before stay strong for her.
Find out how far along she is so both you & her know what options are available.
Ask her outright how old the dad is, this is to put your mind at ease. Reasure her you will not contact him in anyway unless she wants you to.
All our thoughts are with you & your daughter.
Good luck0
