    Hi Op
Just wanted to say that you sound like a great mum and i'm so pleased that your daughter felt able to share her news with you
I'm sure you will anyway but just make sure she knows you will support her whatever decision she makes about the baby. Hopefully the doctor will be able to give you some more advice etc which may help both of you - i would def get the wine open tonight and take time to get your head around it before your daughter comes home - Feel free to post away on here if you feel it helps - i know it certainly does me - some great people on here - just ignore the ignorant ones they are thankfully in the minority x

    Hiya.

I recommend you try for the abortion. Good luck!

because that will solve all her daughters problems? It could create serious psycological damage that may follow her the rest of her life.
Who knows, this young girl may want to keep her baby and be the best mother she can be and Im sure the OP will be very suportive whatever decision she makes

On balance, I think taxpayers should get to decide these things before having to support children out of wedlock where the parent(s) cannot support themselves or a child.

As things stand, clearly it's their own decision but I'm recommending an abortion as it is the most responsible course to take.

And you would be very happy to take that job on I bet?

In-humane and against human rights. What has wedlock got to do with anything?

So your suggesting people who earn get to vote on whether a mother who is unemployeed keeps her child or has an abortion? Dont be daft, and i dont know were the wedlock thing comes into it either. Some people raise families and never walk down the aisle.
OP has already stated her daughter cares about her schoolwork etc. Whos to say she wont go on to have a job and pay her taxes regardless of whether she has a baby at 15

I did the same thing, I was pregnant at 16 and told my mum over the phone.

I know it feels like the end of the world but it's not, she will make the right decision and everything will work out how it should, all you can do is be there for guidance and support.

    Good luck x
If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in :D

Thanks - might go and get a takeaway (and pick up a pregnancy test too, so we can do that again in the morning) and try and relax a bit tonight.

I am so so glad that she has felt she could tell me about the pregnancy, even if it was by phone. I know that we can get through this together, whatever she decides to do.

just wanted to say :T you sound like an excellent mum and whats happened has happened, you are right you can only be there for her now

i wish the very best of luck to you and your daughter

i also hope my daughters feel able to confide in me

hugs O/p - have a 15yro DD and dont know how i'd cope, am so glad she was able to tell you and its probably better you have a bit of breathing space before she comes home. Forget about the police just now - somethings are more important and your relationship with your children (all of them) is far more important, but find somebody you can share this with and keep posting and let us know how things are going.
    - oh and by the way ignore the narrow minded trolls who seem to crawl out of their holes and oh so perfect lives/families and add no value whatsoever to your thread.

    take care x
