How do you go about getting a repeat offer?
Do you just phone up & ask? Or do you clear your balance and say you want to cancel?0 -

With MBNA I clear my balance just before the current offer ends, then leave it a clear month and phone them. It seems to depend on who you get on the phone. That offer above I only got after being offered 7.9% with no fee, which I told the chap was pointless and he went away and gave me the 0%.A greedy man's bag is never full0 -
Do you think I have any chance of getting any repeat offers??? I have a £7000 limit on Lloyds TSB which i haven't touched for months and has a zero balance. I get the occasional letter offering cheques/BTs with a fee but have not tried ringing them.
I have a Halifax Classic (£8,850 limit) which I use for spending and pay off each month...would asking for a fee free upgrade to a One card be feasible??? Have applied for an Amazon card before and was declined as they said they had given me enough credit already!!!
I have an Asda card which offers a 6 month 0% BT with a fee but main reason for getting this was 2p a litre off petrol etc which i will lose if I do a BT
I need to BT £800 from Barclaycard which 12 months 0% runs out in Feb and also £2,800 from Abbey asap as I LOST my 0% by paying a day late:eek:

I've just got 0% for six months with no BT fee on my Lloyds Platinum card. I've got a good CL on this card, so was very pleased.
Phone 0800 056 0100 and ask what offers they've got for existing customers. If they've got nothing, say you want to shut the card down and you'll get transferred to Customer Loyalty. They were the ones who made my day!
Hopefully someone will be along soon who can advise you on the other cards.0 -
Well Lloyds wouldn't play the game...they have increased my CL secretly without telling me but refuse to give me a 0% BT full stop...fee or no fee.
Threatened to cancel the card but they wouldn't budge:mad:Laughing at my ancient signature...voodoobaby now 10 years old:eek:0 -
voodoozoe - have you had a clear balance for at least a month and did you talk to retentions or customer services, you will need to be talking to the "closures" department to get the decent offers - standard cs advisers do not have the authority to offer anything like 0%0

Anybody know if Egg play ball on unofficial existing customer BT's?
My egg is about to go clear and if they do offers I will use them to my advantage0 -
My balance has been clear since August, I started by asking CS if there were any offers for existing customers...was told only for new...said I wanted to cancel card and was put through to retentions. Was asked some questions and was basically told they could not offer me anything...would I like to go ahead and cancel the card. I said I'd better think about it and asked her to confirm what my credit limit was and they've increased it to 8k from 7k without telling me but can't offer me anything:eek:
A bit stumped as to what to try now as my Barclaycard 0% ends in Feb and I am paying interest on my Abbey due to a stupid mistake by me!!! Have been rejected by Ulster Bank:mad: and really wanna avoid fees if poss.Laughing at my ancient signature...voodoobaby now 10 years old:eek:0 -
