I've been waiting for virgin to offer a low rate so I can balance transfer but they just keep offering 10.9% with a 5% fee.
The latest offer expires 31 August but they will probably just renew the same offer which is really frustrating as I want to do the balance transfer but would prefer a rate of 0%
What are the chances of them agreeing to a 0% rate if I ring them up? Probably a 100% of a zero chance0 -
There is a nice 18 month 0% offer on my existing Lloyds Avios CC at the moment, 3% fee.
I don't need it at the moment, but it's worth checking your online account if you have this card and it would help you out.0 -

I was offered 0% 15 for months to my existing Halifax card with BT 3%0

I rang Sainsbury's bank to ask if they would cut my new 27% rate since my deal ended. Was told they don't cut rates for anybody so I've transferred the lot to Barclaycard.
Seems some cards are happy to get new customers but don't seem to care if they lose others. I'd have happily took a interest rate for life deal but never mind.0 -

Just called HSBC regarding my APR rate for my credit card which is currently 20.9%. I asked whether they were able to lower this rate so I am able to pay more of the debt off my card rather than just the interest I was getting each month which was amounting to a lot.
They put me through to someone who confirmed as I had been with HSBC for a long time (17 years!) that they could do a deal for me where they could reduce the APR rate to 4.9% for 6 months to help me. I asked whether they could extend that but they confirmed this was the maximum they could do but in 6 months time, I could contact them again to see if they were able to offer me any other help after this.
Worth a try calling up and seeing what they can do for you if you want to help clear your credit card debt. I'm going to get my husband to call up Barclaycard now to see if he can reduce that card down now!0 -

Not yet but will be doing. Have done BTs with them in the past and they complete in a few days.0
