I had a halifax classic card, then upgraded to Halifax One card 0% which is about to run out.
Phoned Halifax to see if I could get another offer but they said NO
Do I cancel the card or has anyone found a way to get another deal?
Similar to Beany,
I had a Halifax One card with 0% expire after 9 months - I tried to extend and was told NO.
I have cleared the card, cut it up and sent a letter to Halifax One to tell them I wish to close the account, told them I wanted a reply that the card account was closed.
I am nervous about applying for another card until I have confirmation that Halifax One confirms the card account is closed.
With the next super BT card I want to clear a debt of 25K @ 7.5%, previous Halifax One limit was 16K - any suggestions which card to apply for ?, will have saved the 25K to pay card in 9 months should I have probs doing a BT to yet another card.
As I am sure some of the more experienced on this site can tell, I am still new to the card shuffle skill

Calling those with Citi credit cards - I have had a mailing........ Citi have offered me 1.9% APR for 6 months on 90% of my credit limit provided this is done before 22.03.05.
Incidentally, I am now enjoying a further 6 months at 0% with Frizzell until the end of August 05 - (See my initial correspondence on page 11 - 31.10.04 at 11.00am)
Cheers!!Charles J0 -
ANB, good call just check there is no BT fee, sure that with my last Citi statement was some mention of this with new T&C about to occur.0

I would suggest a first direct card (maybe gold) for £25k limit (the max).0 -
Thank you Hobo – I just telephoned Citi. They are trying out fee paying for initially the month of March 05. Any Balance transfers from this month at least will attract a “service fee maximum of 2% of the amount of Balance Transfer.” –
Not as good as I thought (1.9%APR)……… but still may be good for some of us - I have calculated that the APR overall should be approx 3.9% which is still competitive in the current climateCharles J0 -

Just applied for the Texaco offer on this website and a Lloyds mailshot offering 0% on transfers for 6 months, also got a flyer from Monumental (Barclays) which offer 0% on purchases and transfers until December, needless to say I sent this off as well.
I just hope the credit limit is good as I need to transfer 7.5K on a card which is now charging full interest, I should have applied last month as it advises on here, you live and learn.0 -

I wouldn't bank on it, Monument are a sub-prime lender...0
