Log in then on the left you will see "Move Money". Select "Balance Transfers" and then "Current Account/overdraft". Enter you bank details.
Once you have the money in your bank account you can move it on to pay for debts, put in a savings account or whatever you want.
I thought egg was one of the only cards that you could move money from the credit card to the savings.?
This is not egg money it is a balance transfer from mbna.0 -
I might be wong but I have always sent it via my bank account. I'd heard that Egg keep a list of sort codes that it will not SBT money to. However the list is not very complete and some savings account will work (I assume because many building societies use bank HO clearing accounts). I'm sure they know what the Egg savings sort code/account number are though. You can try it if you like, I'd certainly be very interested to know if it works.0

Perhaps it is me.
So how do I transfer a positive balance to my current account? so I can move it to the savings account.
When I go into move money I have the facilities to transfer from my bank acc to the egg savings but not visa versa.

Angela - you actually need to use the BT part of the Egg card site. You BT to the loan/overdraft option and put in you current account sort code/number.0

Have been using Amex Blue as a cashback card for more than year. Switched to another card when they slashed cashback.
Rang Amex Blue Card Services to close card two weeks ago. Was put through to some guy that offered 0% on new balance transfers for 6 months starting from the date of the first transfer. He also promised to refund anual fee if I do not reach minimum anual spending amount.

I was offered the same deal about six months ago by Amex Blue when i heard about it. I cleared the balance off early in January and when i rang up in mid Jan to "cancel" the card, I tried for another deal & was told that I was still able to do a BT on the existing one up to the end of the month (when the six months were up) & STILL GET 0% FOR 6 MONTHS ON THE BT!!!!! Plus they had upped my limit in the interim without being asked by 20% so the lot went off to egg pronto!Ethical moneysaver0

I have just been offered a CITI platinum credit card with 0% interest on balance transfers for 12 months. The only 'catch' I can see is that you have to pay a minimum of 3% of the balance each month.
PS I'm new to all this so please bear with me if I have made any errors with my posting!!0 -
Hi daisymay, and welcome to the boards.
I assume that your offer was by invitation only as their web site still says 9 months? Or did you find a flyer in a magazine? I'd love to apply as 12+ month offers are very rare.PS I'm new to all this so please bear with me if I have made any errors with my posting!!0 -
Natzdance wrote:Just an idea for anyone with a halifax classic card. I balance transferred from them last september to an egg card, and as my 0% runs out this month I rang Hlaifax to see what they can do.
They said they couldn't offer me anything on the classic card but would upgrade my card to a Halifax one card - with 9months at 0% - yeah
so may be an idea for anyone with a halifax classic card.
Just thought I'd share
Bit new to this
I had a halifax classic card, then upgraded to Halifax One card 0% which is about to run out.
Phoned Halifax to see if I could get another offer but they said NO
Do I cancel the card or has anyone found a way to get another deal?0
