    It's time to FOCUS:

    Things I want:

A bank account that is in the black (it's been over 3 years of constantly being in my overdraft :'()
A credit card that is ready to use if necessary (maxed out)
To have some of wage last me throughout the whole month
To be able to save more than £50 at a time

    Things I Need:

A job that really values the work I do
A job that pays me more pennies
    To boost my self confidence
To shift some weight to help with above
    A break from the mundane

I have added the Civil Service Fast Stream guys to my Facebook and they have pointed me to the book which helps with the entry tests so I will be gemming up with that. Most of my family are/have been a civil servant so they should be able to help. The money is amazing (£20-£25K for the first year and around £45K for the 4th year) and they really look after you there... plus I would be working in either Health or Education which is my dream! The application process doesn't start again until September so that gives me some time to really get my head down and study!!

Wedding tomorrow, it's my friend who has pretty much turned into my best friend. We used to be best friends when I went out with her cousin but sort of drifted apart over the years... I was meant to be her chief bridesmaid but never mind, we are back friends again and I'm so glad that we are :)

    Hey pudding

Just popping on to say Hi :hello:

You're sounding much more positive, are you feeling a little more motivated again?

Fast Stream looks good (I had to Google it!) they'll definitely look after you!

I like your idea of a list of needs and wants - I may compile one at some point!

    Hey Lee-Anne

Yeah I am feeling a little bit better, still skint but meh best make the most of it, it ain't gonna change for a bit!

The civil service is amazing, my mum is the only civvie in her office at the naval base and they love her, to be honest she's set for life there and that's kind of what I want. They are great for maternity leave, hols and of course pension so can't go wrong!

Currently cooking my microwave meals for me and the boy as I've just come in from the second job, absolutely shattered! Gonna have a bath, do a bit of a manicure then sleepy time!

Hope you're okies gorgeous girlie! Xxxxxxxxxxxxxx

so having another mini lightbulb moment today

Cut up my credit card and starting a spending diary. I want to have money in my account for the whole month. Hate scrimping because I splurged on payday!

Need to honestly do a snowball calc and not be like oh yeah i'll pay £600 off my debts each month... and then realise that is ridiculous.

It's time to be honest and be focused. The weight is coming off so can the debt!! I will be happy by this time next year... I will!!

Something terrible has happened, went to buy stuff for work (be paid back in expenses) but my card was declined.

    SHOCKING!

I have spent pretty much my whole wage already. It arrived on Friday. All gone today :O

All bills have been paid though so just means £50 each week to live on... should be do-able. I get £169 back from expenses as went to see clients in High Wycombe and will be going up to Kingston on Wednesday.

Felt sick though when it was declined. OOOOPS!! at least I know everyone has their moneys including my mum so that's something :)

Hey Rdchick, just popped in to see how you're doing and loving the Positive attitude, you sound very similar to myself, I'm in a job I do not like but need to get 1 months wages into the bank before I can think about moving as I get paid a month in advance. I'm on a great wage so feel really stuck as I can't afford to drop my salary. I would love to re-train. Will be watching to see how you get on with the Civil service, my Mum was a civil servant all her working life.

    Hey Bobble!

I would love it if my job paid well but it don't which is partly why I hate it!! I know what you mean though, wages are a nightmare to deal with when you first start somewhere!

I am waiting for my Civil Service book to arrive - still have to wait 50 damn days until I can even apply but I know it will come round soon enough..

    Just keep swimming!!

    xxx
