November is going to be the month for sorting out my bank account once and for all. I have a new bank account now so I am going to use that as my 'day to day' spending account, by which I am going to pay myself £50 a week which is quite a lot of money and should stop me from splurging my whole wage on day 1 of week 1. I am also keeping all the 'extra' money in after paying all the bills and stuff to pay off my overdraft. My new account doesn't have an overdraft (because I wasn't allowed one which to be fair is for the best) so I should be safe this month. Just have to make sure it's all a-ok throughout the month for all the payments to come out of my original account. It's all very confusing!

I think I shall sell some more things on eBay. Need to find more 'high quality' stuff kicking around the house. Going to do a car boot sale on Sunday with my mum, you never know she might give me a few pennies :)

Anyways... hope everyone is ok xxx

    Hello wonderful people,

Yep back again, try and get on here more often.

I've turned over a bit of a new leaf... the thoughts of moving to SA are distant memories now... I do however have plans to join the RAF all being well at the end of this year which means I need to get fit and get as close to debt free as physically possible. Two massive goals but I think I can do it!

I am going to sell my car this month for around £2K which means at least £1K can go on various debts and the other K to get my moped (BF is helping me pay for it as a late xmas prezzie bless him) going to get a brand new one so I know it's all good and not been smashed into a wall or whatever, which means I can save on tax, insurance and fuel should save lots of money as the moped runs on 100mpg so one tank of fuel should last me all month!! Will miss my car but I can get a new car when I am debt free... plus we will have at least one car between us.

We are also looking to move as our rent is going up again so I am desperate to move as it's a lot of money for nothing, the BF is looking at getting himself a mortgage so at least then it should be cheaper for us!

    Hope you're good xxx

I am scared. Petrified even. I have learnt my lesson from here, to just pay off everything each month to avoid the angry letters and the phone calls and the worry. It feels like I am getting no where.

I am going to apply for the Student Nurse Position in the RAF In October/November. I applied last year but got rejected due to not having the correct maths GCSE, so I have brought a course and will take my exam in June/July.

They say you shouldn't have debt when going into the forces due to it being held against you etc etc and they don't want no trouble with debt collectors etc. Also, my wage will drop by £2K (if I am still on £15K by then) so I need to make my debt either very small or non existant, I would like the latter but expect the former.

I am scared they will reject me on that basis.

I can lose weight, get fit, get my maths GCSE and nursing experience but I am scared my money troubles will hold me back (again)

My amazing boyfriend has offered to cut down my half of the rent as he is now earning almost tripple my wage so that will be good.. I also still have my second job... One of my credit cards stops in February so that will be something too... no more temptation to spend on it.

Right now I just want a hug and told it will be all ok... or an interest free loan...

don't you just hate living from payday to payday?

I can't wait for 31st just so I can pay a bit more off my debt. Funnily when I don't have any money I have grand ideas of how much I will put towards the debt but as soon as the money comes those thoughts disappear until it's too late.

I haven't missed a payment on anything since last May, I have even paid my phone bill early this month so I know it won't bounce. Money seriously burns a hole in my pocket... even when it's in my account. I have no idea how to budget and keep it in my account for its rightful owner... But I know it has to be done, I have to seriously start debt busting... nothing is gonna get me out of debt quickly, I have to do it myself and to be honest it scares the big jeebus out of me. I have zero self discipline, and I need to sort it out.

sat in tears with relief after asking my BF if I could have money instead of a laptop for Xmas (yep still haven't got round to xmas - I just brought him some clothes last year so I haven't got to worry about it) and he said of course if that is what I want. I definitely want it... right now I would feel awful if I got anything for xmas (I didn't open anything on xmas day - both families decided not to do presents this year but family things - I gave presents to everyone - inlaws, parents, brothers, their partners and my bf - couldn't help myself, would have felt terrible if I didn't but now thinking I probably shouldn't have although I did win some points with the inlaws :)) So I think some pennies for debt repayments would make me very happy.

I think I will have about £250 to spread across my creditors, not a lot but still, I am thinking of knocking some off my credit cards and studio account, as with the overdraft and loan I think it would just be eaten up by interest, unfortunately.

Just seen on the xmas thread that I have so far made a 1.24% dent in my debt this year... feel rubbish about it as there's people on there that have paid something like a grand off their debts already :/ just gotta keep taking little steps I guess..

Thank you :) feel a bit brighter after some number crunching lol lot's of speculation but I think I can do it and pay a grand total of £452.16 off my debts this month so that will definitely be something, plus I will ebay some shoes and stuff to get some more pennies :) got to save some of my main wage for the BF's birthday next month, going to see how long I can last without spending anything on myself! xxx

I will be credit card free in 12 weeks time... 12 weeks! I can do this... It will be hard but I can do it... and I hopefully will be near my traget weight by then too... will be lovely to go to the wedding in Holland (27th April) with a skinny body and a skinny debt :D Feeling positive it's gotta be done, it won't be nice but once they are out of the way it's just the big overdraft, loan and bank of mum and dad :) xxx

I am happy with my little bit extra I have managed to pay, can't wait til Friday so I can pay off some more. I have my goal for the RAF in October/November this year and I am petrified something is going to trip me up so I don't make it. There is always something. I wanted to be a teacher but couldn't do anything until I got my maths GCSE... I wanted to be a nurse but I need a maths GCSE and access to nursing qualification (even though I have a degree!) so I have brought a distance learning course which I need to crack on with, with ICS, I have to do it... I also need to get my health and fitness up along with bringing my debt down... AND get some ward experience! I am going to be stretched to the limit and already feeling it now! November is a long time away but we are already 11 days into 2012 and it seems to be going quicker by the day xxx
