A deliberate idiot is better than an accidental one, it's those who drive badly and are totally unaware or too arrogant to accept it, which are the biggest problem.

I don't mind someone doing 90 down a country lane, at least they know they're doing it. But when dozy buggar always takes the left hand lane to go right (or U turn) at a traffic island, or runs straight through a pedestrian crossing, because he/she thinks they're always right, that behaviour is far more difficult to predict and far more dangerous.

i drive down a country lane to work, have been doing the journey for 12 years. I have lost count of the number of fatal/serious RTA's on that road in that time. Many mornings we are held up with the police and ambulance people doing their bit, or perhaps we just drive past the wreckage and read about the deceased in the local paper.

I have been overtaken by people who probably think I am driving too slowly but believe me defensive driving on this sort of lane is important. My years working for a police force in another part of the country taught me that.

Can I ask if you drive at 90 mph, if you think that is OK perhaps you do and if so do you think you should hand your licence in now?

The only thing I did aggressively was hit the brakes. If you want aggression see the car in front.

Are you going to answer the question as to why you appeared to have made no effort to keep a safe distance from the mini once it had pulled out in front of you?

Why resort to name calling? There really is no need for that, you posted the video would be rude not to have a bit of fun with it.

If you drive at such a slow speed that other driver become impatient, then your as bad as they are.
The arrogant answer your looking for is "they shouldn't lose patience", my answer is "A dog shouldn't rip your face off, but if you poke it with a big stick it probably will".
My colleagues wife works for the Staffordshire Police, she's does data input. Doesn't mean she knows the law.
One of my good friends on the other hand, he's a motorcycle officer with the West midlands Police and he knows a darn sight more.

I drive AT the speed limit for every road I use, I find this creates a peaceful environment for all road users around me. People tend to get irritated when the person in front is driving well below the limit for the road, it's very rare I find anyone who wishes to overtake when im driving at the speed limit.

If you read the highway code you'll see that you should NEVER pull out into traffic if you'd be forcing other drivers to take evasive action.
He could have used the chevroned slip lane to get upto speed, but instead he pulls out into my path and dawdles.

Because If someone wants a reasonable fact based debate, im cool with that..... But turning nothing into nothing with a great big mountain on top, that's something I don't have time for.

Oh right because bikers don't overtake with cars coming the other way..... Genius.
And what about hills with truck lanes?

    http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?hl=en&q=shrewsbury&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=Shrewsbury,+United+Kingdom&ll=52.72049,-2.82383&spn=0.051156,0.353966&t=h&z=12&layer=c&cbll=52.720525,-2.823912&panoid=a_ehpJvInXv9OxPxNVClyQ&cbp=12,291.85,,0,10.3

I defy anyone not to overtake there, when stuck behind a 25mph dawdler.

You weren't on a bike were you?

You mean crawler lanes? Two lanes in one direction is different to what you did. The place you did it there was only one lane in either direction and you shouldn't have made a third.;)

Your 'friend' will have a knowledge of Road Craft and be in a position to tell you why you were in the wrong. I wonder what he thinks of your driving.

Not wrong to overtake that road but you shouldn't go between to two cars as they are.

If one is at 25mph then your planning is !!!!!! if you can't pass without going between the two.

^^ I don't know why your arguing a point here, there's no way you'd stop for all oncoming cars before overtaking a cyclist. What if there was no gap in oncoming cars? On a narrow road I could understand, but as I already explained in great undeniable detail, that road is more than wide enough.

Your being hypocrytical...... Your wrong and you know your wrong, but your also arrogant and unable to accept reason on a public forum.
