On a narrow road I could understand, but as I already explained in great undeniable detail, that road is more than wide enough.
Your being hypocrytical...... Your wrong and you know your wrong, but your also arrogant and unable to accept reason on a public forum.
The perfectly describes you.;)0 -

Your gap was less than two seconds, so still insufficient for the dry.Strider590 wrote:Trebor

He could have used the chevroned slip lane to get upto speed, but instead he pulls out into my path and dawdles.
Indeed, but that doesn't excuse the aggressive manner in which you pulled up right behind them after they had completed their manoeuvre, whilst giving up any semblence of a safe gap in the process."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

It was exactly 2 seconds.Indeed, but that doesn't excuse the aggressive manner in which you pulled up right behind them after they had completed their manoeuvre, whilst giving up any semblence of a safe gap in the process.
Applies to both of the above....
What's the safe gap at 30?
What's the safe gap at 50?
What's the safe gap at 70?
What's the safe gap at 5?
What's the safe gap at 0?
The 2 second rule is entirely dependant upon the speed the vehicles are travelling. Therefore as speed decreases, so will the gap.... As seen in my video.
Now, please see my previous post.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Behind the Polo there were times when the gap was below two seconds.
Yes, the gap will decrease as speed decreases, but with the Mini if you had been any closer you would have been sitting on the back seat! It is clear to anyone viewing that video that the manner in which you did so was aggressive and would be seen as intimidation and bullying by some drivers.
What can be seen in your videos is a standard of driving that is not as good as you think it is. Instead of worrying about other drivers you need to put your own house in order first."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

I always do this as well and it gives the wife great pleasure to observe in the rear mirror the looks on the faces of the drivers behind who have just had to drive through our village at or very near the displayed speed limit and not double it as they would wish. Not sure peaceful is the expression I would choose though but I am happy to ignore the weaving about behind me (Double white lines) and the staged lunges at my boot. Fortunately I turn off left just before the 30/ sign and don't get caught up in the mayhem which ensues on the next bend. You scullion! You rampallian! You fustilarian! Oh dear oh dear, had a look at your videos Strider. In my opinion (and it is only opinion), in most cases your driving was as bad, if not worse than the others you are filming.
If you can't see what you are doing wrong from your own videos I'm not sure I would like to be in a car with you. I'm no angel on the road infact I have done some downright stupid things especially when in a hurry but at least I can recognise the fact that I've done something wrong, the way I reacted in a situation was harsh or thought about why somebody else was annoyed at me and recognised my own faults after the incident.
You seem blissfuly unaware, can I ask what kind of car you're driving? You seem completely unaware of how to judge what's happening up ahead realative to the speed you are driving / trying to drive at.0 -

Mumps
If you drive at such a slow speed that other driver become impatient, then your as bad as they are.
The arrogant answer your looking for is "they shouldn't lose patience", my answer is "A dog shouldn't rip your face off, but if you poke it with a big stick it probably will".
My colleagues wife works for the Staffordshire Police, she's does data input. Doesn't mean she knows the law.
One of my good friends on the other hand, he's a motorcycle officer with the West midlands Police and he knows a darn sight more.
I drive AT the speed limit for every road I use, I find this creates a peaceful environment for all road users around me. He could have used the chevroned slip lane to get upto speed, but instead he pulls out into my path and dawdles.
But it's only you that classifies evasive action as speeding up, tailgating, and flashing your headlights like crazy. (It's visible in the mini's reflectors).
That's poking with a stick, and one day you may well get your face ripped off.
I wouldn't overtake you, I'd want you in front, where I can see you.0
