You obviously haven't seen how cyclists ride in London."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

What about the on comming vehicle?
The road is 7.3 metres wide at that point, my car is a wider than average at 1.8 metres wide (inc wing mirrors). You could drive 4 of my car side by side down that road = road width is more than adequate to accommodate 2 cars and a cyclist.
In fact at 3.5 metres wide (each), you could drive two Challenger II tanks down that road without touching the grass verge.
= Case closed....“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Did anyone notice this bit:Mr B has never damaged another car, never had a speeding ticket,
and has not even had a parking ticket after driving for almost 50 years. He is also in excellent health.
DVLA asked him to fill a form in five months after he had a minor accident in which nobody was injured. This form was returned to DVLA.
He then received a phone call from his GP, whom he never visits, to say that DVLA had requested that he had a medical examination. Mr B was unable to keep this first appointment because of work commitments, so he informed DVLA of this and again booked the earliest available appointment. The GP needed to see him a second time, so again he informed DVLA and booked the earliest available appointment. The GP wrote to DVLA to inform them that Mr B is in good health, and naturally we thought that was the end of the matter.
This week Mr B received a letter from DVLA informing him that his licence had been revoked for "non-compliance"! When he phoned them he was told that they did not receive the GP's letter in time.
This is completely unreasonable: he was unable to rush the process through any quicker and had it been that urgent they would not have taken 5 months to contact him about it, would they?
I cannot drive, neither can I do out unless Mr B takes me, so it is very inconvenient to put it mildly. After his licence is reinstated we will be taking this further.......
So..... even the GP needed to want to see him again. What for? Maybe he is not being honest with you as well.
The DVLA are probably used to people messing them around and not sending paperwork back because they do not want to lose their licence due to age or failing sight, so revoke them to stop those people driving. How were they to know your husband was not one of them.
My husband had a op on his eye and I went to the clinic with him a few months back and we was in there for ages. There were 2 elderly chaps speaking to each other, one was 79 and the other 90. They started talking about stuff and then cars and the 90 year old said (about the doc who had sent him out) 'I bet they are trying to get my licence off me' and the 79 year old said 'I am not allowed to drive anymore, I can't see properly' and the 90 year old said 'well neither can I but they are not having mine, I'll fight them all the way'.:eek::eek:
Seriously, if you can't see, you can't drive. Fighting them is not going to make any difference but the people do not see this. And this is obviously why the DVLA have the power to revoke licences - because some will refuse to accept they have a problem with their eyes and carry on driving.
There is an old dear round here who cannot even see over the steering wheel of her nissan Micra (she looks through it) and she seems not to be able to bend her elbows to turn the wheel to get round the corner, she always oversteers the bend when coming into the village. And I keep out of her way!! She even almost took out a teacher and a row of school kids crossing the road at Xmas. Scary stuff.0 -
Ignore the poor guy in the Focus at the start he has probably had the misfortune to have Strider on his tail pipe before.

Strider perhaps needs to be reminded about the two second rule;)"You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

Is that so?

When the mini pulled out in front of you it took you three seconds before you caught up with it, and when you did you aggressively pulled right up on its rear bumper. Why didn't you try and keep a safe distance behind the mini, you had plenty of time to do so?"You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

The only thing I did aggressively was hit the brakes. If you want aggression see the car in front.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Let's take the video with the "squirrel". You have your wipers on so conditions are presumably wet. You have a gap of less than two seconds long before the car in front brakes. When it did brake it had its brakes on for three seconds before you caught up with it. That wasn't emergency braking under any circumstances If you had a safe gap from the car in front you would have had plenty of time to react.
Instead of going to the trouble of filming other drivers maybe its time you started to look at your own standards first."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"
