Yes- Thanks for your efforts and for getting Plusnet final decision as quickly as you did. -

My complaint presentation that I put to CISAS on 27 June re apparent Plusnet cashback mis-selling concerns has today finally been forwarded to Plusnet by CICAS for Plusnet to respond to.

Re: Answer - Plusnet have given Quidco re numerous Quidco/Plusnet Cashback declines - many of which I made OFCOM aware of on 29th June - when Plusnet have had its own on site 50.00 cashback offer, I thought Quidco might find post of mine today on Plusnet forum enlightening.

For both completeness of the subject and so that others can see it doesnt matter which cashback site is used. - Merchants stated to be final decision can be challenged via other third parties.

Plusnet having initially told me very distinctly that it would not be paying me 110.00 Quidco cashback, a stance Plusnet maintained to Quidco have now offered to send me a cheque for 110.00.

This was the evidence that I used within my CISAS submission which I also furnished OFCOM with to back up my general concern/complaint - "Cashback misselling by Plusnet" -

Plusnet cashback offer

I registered for ADSL Broadband and phone line 2 days ago. Plusnet advertise £50 cashback on their website so I expected to get this together with £30 from Quidco. I've been told by Plusnet that I cannot get their cashback amount because I did not go to them directly. I am £20 worse off as a result of using Quidco. I notice that you are now advertising £65 cashback instead of £30 that I will get from you. I am upset! Plusnet say I can cancel but then cannot reorder for at least 2 days. This will cause me more problems as I have already made the initial payment, received the new router and my current suppliers have been informed that I am changing. Less

My Best Ever Cashback in 7 years!

Excellent Cash Back Offer

Tracked within minutes of my order with Plusnet, and received cash back payment within 2 months. Broadband service is average but that also came with a 50 pound chq from plusnet. No issues... More

Actually surprised! No issues

£100 quidco and £75 cashback from Plusnet, received the cheque and the Quidco cashback on the same day within about 4-5 weeks from placing the order. Not the fastest ADSL but no real issues so far and with the cashback only costs £75 total for phone line with evening and weekend calls and ADSL for a whole yea

absolute load of rubbish claim never paid

I went with plusnet because of the offer and cashback, service had been rubbish, speed no quicker than i had before and wifi covers less of house, cash back was turned down with no explanation, will be going else where once out of contract

Do Plusnet ever pay out?

Joined plusnet in October 2015, attracted by the £110 cashback. I met all the requirements, they goofed up me signing on and it was delayed for three weeks. They then charge monthly line rental even though I have paid upfront for a year. Spent ages waiting to speak to someone about it, got it sorted or so I thought, and it happened again next month! And to top it off, they rejected the cashback claim and the appeal! Seems a scam to me. Avoid

Their awards must be fixed

Although no company will ever get it right 100% of the time - Plusnet seem to have a non existent customer service base and like to blame everyone else when things go wrong Mine cashback tracked but was declined with no reason - funny that they reel people in with all these promises and then fail to pay up

12 January 2016
Cashback declined for no reason

I read lots about people not getting there cashback. Friends got theirs. Mine was confirmed for ages then declined. Have asked why but this won't be the end of the matter. Very slow rubbish broadband. Insecure router. Waste of money

New customer signed up for cashback and declined

Very unhappy, part of the choice of moving from BT to Plusnet was the associated cashback which has been declined. Thought Plusnet were a good companY!

Absolutely dreadful

One week without a phone line. Three weeks without any internet service. They claimed they couldn't offer the service we'd signed up for (fibre) once we didn't have any service at all. Then magically the service became available a few days later. Perhaps this is how they managed to decline my cashback - because they wouldn't and didn't give me the service needed at the time I'd ordered it.

Unexplained denied cashback

Switched two broadband and phone accounts to Plusnet (mine and my parents) both via Quidco site with both transactions tracking within a few hours of the purchase. First cashback tracked much less than the advertised rate. Second cashback for £80 was declined, raised a claim which was then subsequently declined, stating they didn't recognise Quidco as the referring party. So received £10 quidco cashback in total despite reading about other customers receiving larger payments just for moving one accoun

Frustratingingly slow cashback

Signed up to Plusnet 21st January with an £80 cashback offer. 3 months later I'm still chasing this offer after my cashback was declined with no explanation. Disappointing...

Cashback declined, do not use this company

The only reason I used this company instead of Sky, who also had a cracking deal at the time, was that Plusnet not only promised £50 cashback but £110 cashback via Quidco, which just about beat the Sky deal. The reviews I read all said they had recieved both payments promptly. My purchase, I paid for the whole year in advance, tracked immediateley, I recieved my £50 from Plusnet as promised but the £110 was declined. I raised a claim, Quidco actually stated they did not see any reason as to why it was declined first time round. I have just been informed it has been declined a second time. Quidco inform me it is because I did not meet the terms and conditions but they have no detail as to which terms and conditions I did not meet!!. Like everyone else, I have entered into a years contract with Plusnet and have paid in full!! How can it be ok for both Plusnet and Quidco to refuse to pay me any cashback when they can't tell me why???
17 February 2016
No cashback

Plusnet have declined my cashback claim because they say my Plusnet order was cancelled or returned. This is even after an appeal in which they were given my Plusnet account number which is very much active. Their basic package prices are fair, but do not count on them paying ou

3 months and still waiting for decision

Although It tracked really quick, after paying the initial quote and 2 more installments I am still waiting for the cashback. At this stage I am thinking it will never happen, don't get attracted by the cashback amount because it won't get to you account, or at least, it won't do it any close to the expected time

Cashback declined after 3 months

When you choose a supplier because you will get the cashback & you make sure you click through for it all in the correct manner for it to be declined months later it's really disappointing.

Monitor your cashback.....

Signed up, tracked, service was activated, cashback confirmed and am currently using it as I type BUT, didn't check my Quidco activity on a regular basis after that. I have now just found out that the cashback has been DENIED due to cancellation of contract ??!! ! am still using it and had even paid a years line rental in full to get the extra discounts! Unfortunatly the 45 days had lapsed for me to put in a claim! Read other complaints and there seems to be one common theme - pay the years line rental upfront for the additional discount and you are denied the cashback

Wish I could say the same as member below.....

I ordered a plusnet package with the same £110 quidco cashback and £50 cashback from plusnet. The latter has arrived, but sadly the £110 has been declined, with quidco saying the order was cancelled, and plusnet saying the account is very much active and that as quidco is a third party, they can't help further!. Someone is retaining the £110 ...It's been a a mountain of work trying to get this resolved- as of now it still hasn't . Anyone got any ideas to get this sorted

Great service, poor cashback

Service is great from Plusnet, they were extremely helpful in getting me up and running. However they chose not to honour the cashback claim for unstated reasons.
16 February 2016
Same old story

Like those below, my Plusnet cashback initially tracked and was then declined for no reason several weeks later. Despite raising a Quidco query, my claim was unsuccessful - again no reason given. I am still.
10 February 2016
cashback declined for no reason

Cashback was declined (no reason given) but just missed querying it by one day as it was confirmed for so long. Have previously recommended plusnet to four separate households but won't bother anymore, what a load of toss

47min wait to talk to Plus net customer services & Cashback declined

The cashback tracked but was later declined despite me having a service with plusnet. I find this really frustrating as its too late to cancel their service

Evidence that Plusnet pay lower cashback rates than it advertises/promotes via third party affilaites

Overall poor performance

Cashback tracked and paid lower than originally advertised. Product is appalling compared to what I had and to think I changed over for the cashback offer and not get it, truly annoyed.

Others previously who clicked through 110.00 ish Quidco cashback link subsequently told they had accepted/selected Plusnet own 50.00 cashback offer and left feeling scammed/ripped off/conned

Trustpilot/Plusnet reviews some of which include cashback related comments speak for themselves

Worth also adding Plusnet did not once utter the words "Cashback is not guaranteed" ;)

Okay not sure if this is the correct Board but here goes.

Had an email from Quidco offering a £10 bonus for purchase made before end of April, did a shop with Tesco tracked ok (no cashback expected for a grocery shop but tracked for bonus ok )

Contacted Quidco about bonus , first time told to expect bonus in a month or so, subsequent contact told bonus paid on 6/10/2016 payment extracted on 5/10/2016 ( day before it was paid)

Contacted Quidco about dates and non payment , and subsequently ignored.

Now strangely my HUKD account is suspended for no apparent reason ( same owner )

Am I a paranoid MSE`r or just unlucky ?

Not to worry because if you get in touch with the customer support team either via the contact form on the site or via social media (Twitter&Facebook) they will be able to change this for you after asking for some security details.

I signed up to BT broadband as a new customer yesterday (via Quidco), but have noticed that today the offers are much better - more at BT's end than at Quidco's.

Can I just cancel my order with BT, and go through the whole sign-up process again without messing everything up?

Clearly I am within my rights to cancel, but I would not want to jeopardize my cashback claim.

Hi @samizdat

Thank you for your post. This can vary from retailer to retailer and we would of course want to make sure that you didn't miss out. In this case we would recommend contacting BT themselves as they will be able to give you a definitive answer as to whether you would still be considered a new customer.

Thank you for replying. However, to quote Quidco's own advice "Cashback will not be paid if you cannot complete the order fully online and have to speak to BT directly", therefore I would not risk contacting BT directly, and in any case my experience is that retailers are rarely able to discuss cashback issues directly with end users.

After all, the cashback element is paid through my relationship with Quidco. Quidco is responsible for understanding the terms on which this cashback will be paid.

Clearly I am not a customer of BT yet, as a change in supplier takes some time to process, and I can cancel within my cooling off period, thereby remaining a customer of my existing supplier.

Well the purchase made through your site has apparently not tracked, even though the order shows on my Tesco account and I have the receipt.
So well done your company dishonestly saved themselves £10.

Hi @treboeth

Thank you for your reply.

Please be assured that whenever a purchase fails to track you can raise a cashback claim here to have the purchase manually tracking instead of automatically https://www.quidco.com/new-enquiry/

Your bonus is then paid within 72 hours of the claim being confirmed and the cashback being available for payment.

I do hope this helps.

To anyone who wants to go through quidco for Sky cashback.....DONT!

I signed up for Sky BB in Dec 2015. Quidco was offering £85 Cashback. I went ahead with the order, the BB was activated on 15 Jan 2016. Even after a month it did not track, so had to raise a claim and then it was updated as tracked, but 3 months passed on with no further action, and had to contact them, then quidco updated the status as further information required, and the same story no more updates, I emailed them on 3rd June to receive a generic response and the status updated as Sent to retailer . Since then no further updates, I have been contacting support every month just to be fobbed off with the same generic email response.

I am into my 8th month of contract with Sky.

Can I contact Sky? How is that possible.

I have stopped using Quidco and switched to Topcashback and made all my recent purchses (that I normally do via quidco) through them and all tracked and few payments received.

Any help here will be much appreciated.
