Hello nice Quidco representative :)

Bit of a pickle this one. Last night I clicked through Quidco to apply for an EE Sim-Only deal. Did what I always do - cleared cookies and cache, turned off adblocker e.t.c...

Completed the application on EE to a point where I had to enter my card details to verify security and I remembered I didn't have any money in my account so I couldn't fully complete the order.

However ... about an hour later it tracked for the correct amount.

Now I went back in this morning to try and properly complete the order as I had money clear overnight in my account so what i've done is to go through Quidco all over again and make a whole new order just to hopefully ensure Quidco tracks and confirms without too much hassle.

The order has fully completed now, so my question is, is it going to be possible to just remove the order that I made yesterday ?

Excellent, thankyou. The first order from yesterday has already been removed from EE's database so it's a "dead" order in every respect.

I'll probably advise them of a couple of other orders on my account that also have no chance of completing as well - maybe we can do some spring cleaning :)

  • Hello Quidco representative.

I have been waiting for cashback for the last 11 months for an iphone purchase from Chitter Chatter. Despite 20+ emails to your so-called customer service team, i have yet to receive anything other than a stock copy and paste reply, which has obviously not got me anywhere.

Are you able to help at all?

    Thanks,

    Tom

    Hi @Tomjbrown

Thank you for your post and I'm sorry to hear you are yet to receive your cashback for your purchase. The relevant team will always chase the retailer for delayed amounts of cashback as we have nothing to gain from your cashback being delayed to you either.

Sadly we cannot discuss specifics of your account for security reasons however I will be more than happy to look into this for you should you get in touch via Twitter or Facebook.

  • Sky new customer transaction is taking far too long to confirm either they're paying out or they aren't, if they're not then i will be cancelling under the mis-sold act which you are allowed to do as companies must honor any reward offered when signing up this includes cashback.
I have been waiting since 12th April 2016 for SKY cashback 4 months is plenty of time and the estimate keeps getting moved, i hope this gets sorted soon.

    Hi @legendkiller2k8

    Thank you for your post.

Estimated payment speeds can be found on a retailer's Quidco page. We work out these speeds by looking at how fast a retailer has been paying us over the course of a year and we'll adjust them accordingly. We have nothing to gain from your cashback being delayed so we'll always do everything we can in our power to obtain this for you by chasing the retailer.

Sadly, as much as we would like to guarantee cashback, cashback cannot be guaranteed as we are reliant on the retailer to pass is the referral commission, that we pass onto yourself as cashback. The retailer holds the right to reject cashback they deem ineligible.

    Kind Regards,

    Jack

I have had some enquiries from other Quidco members (Quidco why is it all Quidco members and no TCB members who seem to keep getting affected by Plusnet debacle) via both PM on via Plusnet forum who are interested in the case I put to Plusnet via CISAS

In the same way as I found reviews posted by others valuable - I hope the work I put into my case will help others whether now or in the future thus I am posting the submission/cashback misselling case that I put via CISAS here and will link it to Plusnet forum- will be for others to take out what isnt relevant to their case/add anything in

Sky/BT, Talk Talk/Virgin Media/Plusnet etc are all offering very high Cashback incentives via Cashback Sites in order to attract new customer business and/or lure business from other Broadband Companies who are then subject to minimum contracts

My decision on who to order Phone and Broadband service from was based on Plusnet offering 110.00 - Talk Talk offering 90.00 Cashback both via www.quidco.com

www.quidco.com terms for 110.00 Plusnet cashback was - "ADSL sales"

My intention when clicking through from Quidco to Plusnet -with 110.00 cashback offer was to order a new phone line, line rental and Broadband. with 12 month contract = ADSL sale" - I dont make phone calls thus wouldnt require/want a call package.

    19 May 16 Plusnet 9.99 110.00 Declined 1180823906 More info

At time of placing the order I made full payment for 12 months thus honoured 12 Month contract on 19 May 2016

In the absence of any answer to the specific question I asked

    https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Account-Billing/Quidco-Cashback-Declined-Whilst-Waiting-For-Service-To-Be/td-p/1338509 ( post no 3)

"Can I be informed please by Plusnet of the reason for my Quidco Cashback decline"

I have had to assume 50.00 Plusnet on site cashback replaced 110.00 Quidco cashback for the reasons stated on other forum threads, If Plusnet claim that its on site 50.00 cashback replaced 110.00 Quidco cashback for a reason that I am not aware of then I feel it would be reasonable for me to have opportunity to comment/ask questions of concern/complaint about any new reason given by Plusnet.

    https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Account-Billing/Quidco-cashback-declined-for-no-reason/m-p/1304077#M21611 Post no 7

I have been advised that when signing up through quidco, this automatically takes you to a screen to the relevant offer for the quidco cashback to be valid (without cashback through us) and that in order to void the quidco cashback, you'd need to select another offer other than the one auto-selected when going through the quidco affiliate sign-up.

New customers have been enticed to Plusnet Website with a great cashback offer from www.quidco.com, which clearly stated "ADSL sales" only to be duped by in my ( and others) case anytime calls @6.00 per month bundled into Quidco -Plusnet link. then when removing this monthly charge due to only needing line only for Internet - dont make calls - this appears to have caused lower paying Plusnet 50.00 cashback offer to kick in and knock out Quidco 110.00 Cashback offer

Last post - Answer evidences total lack of Plusnet credibility in what they say re sign ups/affiliate codes on account, and completely amaterish when it comes to "cashback selling"

"if I didn't do it through TCB, why it's been declined, because there would be nothing to decline. The fact is though, that I did do it through TCB."

    This is response I had from Quidco.com - 20th June 2016

"We have spoken to Plusnet directly about this issue. The link live at the time of your purchase didn't to a landing page for the Plusnet extra cashback. The link that brought up the landing page for the extra cashback didn't go live until the 23rd.

This means that during the purchase process you've clicked on the extra cashback and this has replaced the Quidco cashback incentive resulting the in the cashback being declined."

    1. Plusnet Why is the response posted on your forum not the same as what Quidco have informed me that Plusnet have told Quidco?

    2. Plusnet - What does this actually mean please ?

"This means that during the purchase process you've clicked on the extra cashback and this has replaced the Quidco cashback incentive resulting the in the cashback being declined"

    1. Plusnet - Do you agree that 110.00 Plusnet Cashback advertised/promoted via Quidco for "ADSL sales" meant that I was fully entitled to order Line only plus Broadband 12 Months contract to qualify for 110.00 cashback?

    3. Plusnet - Please detail together with time dated screenshots how your lower paying 50.00 cashback offer replaced 110.00 Quidco Cashback offer.

    4. If you are claiming that I selected/chose your 50.00 cashback offer please provide proof/screen shot etc to prove such a claim

    5. Plusnet - As has been recorded Quidco - Plusnet Cashback is not to be used in conjunction with any other offer Why did you not show me ( and others) an apparent duty of care - Why was the 110.00 Cashback Quidco affilate link-Plusnet landing page not a unique Quidco affiliate landing page and/or sign up process without any reference/sign up to your own 50.00 cashback offer in anyway shape or form.?

    6. Why Plusnet was Quidco - Plusnet landing page not "line only with free broadband" Line rental subject to ..... per month min contract ...... with call packages as optional extras as opposed to Anytime calls package built int landing page link. being as 110.00 cashback was offered for "ADSL Sales ?" ( no call package requirement)

    7. Plusnet - As a company owned by BT, why do you find it acceptable and/or appropriate that new customers over many months have signed up and ordered Plusnet services via a Cashback Site many including myself have been left shortchanged/feeling conned by virtue of you appearing to offer two cashback offers which in this case was 110/50 at the same time, one direct/other indirect when you know both cashback offers cannot be used at the same time and at least in my case through no fault/intent of mine have been offered only the lower paying cashback?

    8. Plusnet, Why when as you say Quidco cashback offer cannot be used in conjunction with another cashback offer have other new Plusnet customers as evidenced by Quidco/Plusnet reviews been paid both sets of cashback as recently as March 2016?

    9. Re - March 2016 Quidco/Plusnet review - How exactly was both Quidco and Plusnet Cashback paid to that new customer, was it due to an "erronous" landing page, signing up for both offers or none of these reasons.?

    10. Why have Plusnet new customers during duration of Plusnet own 50.00 cashback offer who signed up via Quidco during May 2016 not been treated the same/fairly as new customers who signed up to Plusnet during duration of Plusnet 50.00 cashback offer via Quidco during March2016 i.e some paid both lots of cashback whereas others only paid the lower cashback value?

    https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Account-Billing/Plusnet-Cashback-DECLINED-ADSL-Quidco/td-p/1338121 (Last Post)

"The response I got from our Marketing team when I queried this on Friday was that you would have had to change the offer that the landing page takes you to, to include the Plusnet cashback and in turn, void the quidco cashback"

    11. Plusnet - Please explain this, Was it a case of me (and others) removing anytime calls @ 6.00 per month causing 50.00 Plusnet cashback to kick in and knock out 110.00 Quidco cashback or are you claiming that the landing page didnt show Plusnet 50.00 cashback by default and that I ( and others) did something else to include Plusnet 50.00 cashback, if so what action did I do to cause Plusnet 50.00 cashback to be included and thus knock out Quidco 110.00 cashback offer ?

    12. Plusnet - Please prove by virtue of time dated screen shots/cashed pages or otherwise that Quidco- Plusnet landing page was different/ erronous during Plusnet on site 50,00 cashback promotion 19th May - 31 May 2016 as you have claimed 27th -31 May 2016.

    13. Plusnet - Plusnet on site 50.00 cashback offer ran consecutively 19th May - 31 May 2016,

Why would a stated to be erronous landing page to have occured during the last 4 days after concerns about 110.00 Quidco cashback rejection had been raised on your forum by at least two new members.( Please dont say your on site 50.00 cashback offer didnt run consecutively during this period because otherwise why would there have been concerns about it 19th May and on other dates in between 19th May and 31st May.?

    https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Account-Billing/Plusnet-Cashback-DECLINED-ADSL-Quidco/td-p/1338121

    https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Account-Billing/Plusnet-Cashback-DECLINED-ADSL-Quidco/td-p/1338121/page/2 ( post 8)

"The link for the landing page from Quidco has now been corrected"

"Prior to 27/05/16 the correct landing page was in place, showing no Plusnet cashback as default. So any accounts signed up through Quidco, that changed to Plusnet cashback offers prior to 27/05/16"

"I then received another response after they had double checked what was in place prior to the 27th and I was advised it was correct prior to this date."

"An error was made. The error was corrected."
"The dates that the erroneous landing page was in place has been checked and double checked"
"People who signed up through the affiliate during the time the erroneous landing page was in place will be due both offers that were showing. People who signed up before or after this will not be due both offers"

"Do not bother with the £110 cashback if plusnet have their own cashback deal"

I took out landline and internet in October 2015 and Quidco was doing the same deal of £110. You will see that Plusnet are also doing a £50 cashback deal on their website. Which when you click through Quidco it will take you there but you will not have the option to 'not accept the Plusnet offer. Once you have made your purchase online it will track on your Quidco account as successful at the correct amount. After a month you will receive a cheque from Plusnet for £50 but your Quidco cashback of £110 will be declined as they will state "Cashback will not be paid in conjunction with any other offer". I thought I would point this out to anyone as I would have preferred the £110 cashback as opposed to the £50 if I had a choice!

    14. Plusnet - Please explain the difference between the stated to be "erroneous landing page" and the stated to be "corrected" landing page?
    15. Plusnet - Are you saying that the "erronous landing page" had reference to your 50.00 cashback offer on it and that the "corrected" landing page didnt have reference to your 50.00 cashback offer on it? ( If you are saying that how did your 50.00 on site cashback offer come to be applied)
    16. Plusnet - If you are saying that the "corrected" landing page had no reference to your 50.00 offer how would a new customer know of its existence in order to select it?
    17. Plusnet - Are you saying that the stated to be "erroneous landing page"/"corrected" landing page? - One had a call package bundled into it/the other didnt, if so which way around are you saying it was.?

    Re: QUIDCO-PLUSNET - LANDING PAGE - 19 MAY - 31 MAY 2016

Changes to Plusnet website source code will definitely be made using some sort of source control tool. That means that any code amendments will be time-stamped.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Version_control

Plusnet - Please prove that Quidco - Plusnet - Landing page -19 May -31 May 2016 was different/changed/erronous during dates 27-31 May 2016 compared with 19 May-26th May as you claim during the above period by way of time stamp(s)

    18. Plusnet - In absence of such time stamp(s) evidence why were I/we/Quidco lied to regarding erronous landing page occured/only occured 27-31 May 2016?

    19. Plusnet - If "no Plusnet cashback was showing as default on landing page" how would I or any other new customer who clicked through from Quidco 110.00 cashback link be firstly aware of existence of 50.00 plusnet cashback offer and how exactly did I or anyone else change the landing page to 50.00 cashback offer without any apparent knowledge of 50.00 plusnet cashback offer. ( What I and others have said is that Plusnet 50.00 cashback offer was on Plusnet landing page that I/we arrived at after clicking through from Quidco and that Plusnet landing page was exactly the same 19th May - 31 May) no erronous landing page?

This proves that 50.00 plusnet own cashback offer was on landing page after clicking through Quidco link, albeit not on landing page when clicking through Topcashback website

    http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/plusnet-unlimited-adsl-home-broadband-no-phone-calls-upto-17mbps-4-2...

"Topcashback are now offering £111.20 cashback but when you click through, the £50 Plusnet cashback offer is not there. It is still there if you go via Quidco which would total £130 cashback and therefore beat Topcashback's offer"

Then I added evidence of Cashback misselling by Plusnet - as per contents of this linked post.

Quidco are a complete waste of time!

There Support Service is a complete joke, they never chase cash back and just copy and paste standard responses to reply to you.

The guys at Topcashback are superb! Nothing is a bother!
