@bristolleedsfan - great post and hopefully helps others to chase up and use mis-selling of a contract.
I've just ditched Plusnet, got a 'get out of jail card' with their price increase. They kept telling me how good their customer service is, but I didn't see or witness any of it!
I jumped to SSE via TCB and that's tracked short (no surprise there). If paid at the lower rate I'll be immediately challenging, but may favour the Small Claims route if not settled. Of course, it needs to go wrong initially, but usually does.
Far too much goes pear-shaped and God knows how much cash goes to waste by acceptance. Contract based and financials, to name a few, are usually pretty easy to resolve............................one way or other. No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.0 -

End of the day cashback is offered as a incentive and incentives must be honored regardless of what Quidco or TCB say in their t+cs.
SSE are very close to being taken to court if they don't pull out their finger and speed up my claim.0 -
@legendkiller2k8 - cheers. Can I ask what your issue with SSE is?

Regarding cashback it never tracked quidco have sent my claim off after a long wait and nearly 2 months since claim sent i've still heard nothing.
I'm waiting for them to decline so i can get the papers from courts and proceed with legal action.0 -
@legendkiller2k8 - I'm not too impressed with their speeds to be honest and a thrid party tried it at my house over the bank holiday and thought the same! Hopefully they'll implement an increase and allow myself to leave for free!
I'd prefer a quick decline, rather than an elongated wait for cashback to confirm at the wrong amount to be honest. But, I'm ready for it whatever happens! No payments from financial products from cash back sites? To Quidco Rep
re: Jet2 Holiday - £30 cashback on completion of holiday. Claim unsuccessful. What can I do about this? It seems most unfair as I put in non-tracking claim at the time. All the details were correct and I also asked for help after I returned from holiday from Support who advised me I would need to check Jet2 Holiday website for payment time. From that I could see I needed to wait till around now before pressing further for payment.I have now received this reply:
Thank you for coming back to me.
I can see that the order number you have provided is the same as the order number on the claim and in this case I'm afraid it means that the retailer could not trace this order back to your Quidco account. When this happens it generally means that the referral commission that we would usually receive from the retailer, and pass onto you as cashback, has been paid to another referrer.
To explain further (and apologies if this seems a little technical) cashback is actually a 'referral commission' that Quidco receives from the retailer, for directing you to make your purchase through them. When you shop through Quidco, a browser cookie (a small piece of data on your browser) is recorded, and this shows the retailer that you visited them via Quidco. Sometimes, if you do not clear your cookies prior to purchase, you will have other cookies for different referrers on your browser, for example other cashback sites, search engines, comparison sites, to name but a few.
This means that on occasion, the retailer cannot identify exactly which referrer you made your purchase through, and will pay the commission to someone else other than Quidco. This is why we recommend clearing your cookies before making your purchase, to ensure that there are no other referrers for the retailer to pay the referral commission to. If you are at all unsure how to clear your browser cookies, do let us know and we can assist further, as this is something we'd recommend to do for any future purchases.
Regrettably once this has happened, we won't receive the commission to then pass on to you in the form of cashback.
I am very sorry for any disappointment this may cause but unfortunately we will not be able to take this any further for you.
I do not use other cashback sites or use referrals or anything similar. It did not track so I put in claim:.
10 Feb 16. My holiday was end April. Jet2holidays.com ref Quidco ref: 2146468
I am not on Twitter or Facebook, so it's no good suggesting I post there, so what is my next move? I sent all my holiday payment details to Quidco last week from which it is obvious I took this holiday.
It just seems like a 'con' to get out of payment.“Rain drops are not the ones who bring the clouds.”0 -
@Raine E Day - you could try a direct complaint to Jet2 re the non-payment of their affiliate marketing. When you clicked via Quidco your transaction will be both time and date stamped and will show the route you took - ie Quidco to Jet2 via an Affiliate Network.
Another complaint route could be the MSE Resolver tool - http://www.resolver.co.uk/companies/jet2-complaints
Hope you get sorted, but the route you took will have that dynamic trace. No payments from financial products from cash back sites? Put in a complaint direct and if they don't resolve your issue, head straight to the financial ombudsman - it costs the company £550 in referral fees, win or lose.0 -

Many thanks. For starters I've sent email to Customer Services at Jet2Holidays re non-payment of affiliate marketing, as you suggested. Can only hope......“Rain drops are not the ones who bring the clouds.”0 -
@Raine E Day - again, I hope you get what's rightfully yours.
Next time maybe go via a site which guarantees payment for Jet2 and other merchants.
Jet2 for example - http://www.imutual.co.uk/jet2holidays pays £30.60.
