MSE News: Scottish Power to hike energy prices
Comments
-
I have been a customer of Scottish Power for several years. Following the anouncement of their hike in gas prices I thought it time to move, and compared prices through one of the sites recommended by Martin Lewis.
I wanted fixed price for as long as possible, and after doing the comparisons opted for a supplier that would charge me about £16 a year more than my current bill from Scottish Power but fixed for 2 years. Then just to make sure I was doing the right thing I checked with Scottish Power and Bingo! I was able to go on to a new tariff with them fixed until the end of 2014 and saving me £300 a year based on current prices.:T

It's because you have to go direct and you will then get £50 discount off your first bill. (Single/dual fuel).

Slightly OT: but does anyone know if, on the EDF Fixed Saver V2 tariff, the prices can drop (unlikely, I know!) as well as remain the same?0

Does anyone know if you can enter your meter reading online each month on the EDF Fixed Saver V2 tariff? I like to keep an eye on my usage0

Seems that she is right, for now:- Online Energy Saver 14
but no guarantee how long this will go on for as this tariff only guarantees prices to stay 2% below the Standard Monthly Direct Debit charges.0 -

Just switched to EDF via Quidco. Do i now need to inform Scottish power or will the switch inform them?
Thanks0
