    hi,
Just switched to EDF via Quidco. Do i now need to inform Scottish power or will the switch inform them?
    Thanks

EDF will contact Scottish Power and start the switch for you. You don't need to do anything until it comes time for you to give EDF your meter readings.

Seems that she is right, for now:- Online Energy Saver 14
but no guarantee how long this will go on for as this tariff only guarantees prices to stay 2% below the Standard Monthly Direct Debit charges.

I rang to ask about this today and they said they are pulling it tonight or tomorrow morning - not sure if this is a sales ploy or not.

As this looks like a good deal against other current ones, I would have thought that they would let it run for a while, collect as many sign ups as possible and then increase the prices to the 2% below Standard that it guarantees not to fall less than. Can't see why they would want to pull it completely.

Would be a bit of a bummer missing out if it was the case and then you had no option other than the increased prices though.

    Except changing supplier of course.

If the switch is due to the price rises, and the poster hopes to avoid the exit charges, then they need to inform SP themselves.

No, because you'll still be on supply, and therefore in contract, with SP on 1/8. A switch will take 4-5 weeks (so might be wise to delay a few days just in case).
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

The qualifying date for the £105 is the 7th June 2011. It may be credited to the account later.

I wouldn`t be surprised if it goes today as it`s the last day of the month and then they can bring out OES15 at a higher rate tomorrow.

All those who have dithered since the price increase will be caught out with options decreasing all the time.
