Asda Delivery slot...

I have had problems in the past with online delivery but must say Tesco were good when my delivery got messed up. Had opted for a late slot (i think it was either 8-10 or 9-11). I waited patiently for my shopping but it didn't arrive. Checked on line about contacting them and they were not available after 11pm so had to wait till morning. Rang first thing in the morning and they said they were really sorry but the driver seemed to have disappeared and they didnt know what had happened to a lot of the orders. I asked what they were going to do to compensate me. They said they would drop the delivery charge. I said it was very inconvenient and I was not happy with that so they said they would knock £10 off my shopping so I said ok. The manager delivered my shopping in his car and said they had doubled up on some items to compensate and they had puts loads extra in so I was well impressed0

if that wasn't annoying enough they still took the money from my account!
Just wanted to pick you up on this as I hear this quite often (my day job relates to online selling) The money will be taken as soon as your order is placed, many people seem to think that companies will only take payment for an ordered item (be it a CD, TV or online supermarket shopping) once it is delivered but clearly the stock cannot leave the building until they have the payment.
This has nothing to do with the complaint here but just thought I'd comment. Tell me to get lost if you wantIf you meant something else then please let me know.
In regards to the complaint, I order online for delivery with ASDA all the time. EVERY time I do it, there is always at least one thing missing once it arrives. When I say missing, it isnt on the receipt they give you or indeed even mentioned when checking the confirmation email. It seems that some items are magically removed at some stage before confirming the order online. It is my own fault as I order what I want then wait for it to arrive, I never check the email etc. (I'm a bloke, i forget...)
Does anyone else notice this? Very annoying when you are planning on making a nice curry on the day the shopping is delivered only to find you have no chicken or onions!0 -

I'm a LONG time online shopper (not just just for supermarket shopping) and I really do understand how the ordering/despatch system works, mainly because I've worked in retail and dealt with online orders through a main store myself too.
Yet the only company I've ever had recurrent payment/delivery problems with is Asda. If you are bored enough you can go and search my post history to see how anti Tesco and pro Asda I used to be about 3 years ago.0 -
Still no email or refund......This is really getting silly now0

Is this for real!?
I'd be ripping my hair out by now if it were!
Plus, for all Asdas faults surely they could have sorted this out properly by now.
Im not advocating shouting and screaming on the phone, but are you perhaps a bit too soft?0 -
I am deffinatley not to soft..... 99% of the peoplke i speak to at the call centre are south african and really 'can't' help me they cannot authorise a refund (or so they say... and just say they will call the store and ask them o call me / .... The store WILL NOT speak to me especially the illuse Gemma the home shopping manager... I am tempted to report he as a missing person... she has been unable to call me once in over 2 weeks.
The refund i recieved was less than a 1/3 of what i am owed and each time i call i hjust get told someone will call me back....
I only wanted my shopping delivered they said they wont do that so now i want my money back..... not rocket science surly?0 -

I don't think you're being tough enough here. It is your money, not theirs. They have no right to mess you about like this. Get down to the store and demand to see someone. Only thing is whether online has to be dealt with by a specialist team or your store.0 -
I would go to the the store buts its 20 miles away - hence the home shop.... wouldn't even have a clue how to get there on a bus? i think a train would be 3 changes ;(
I will ohone them again today - I know its not much money but we could really use it!!!0 -
Called asda. am told there is a refund processed for me for 20.62 (should be 21.52) ............. and they have no idea when i will get the money.... somone will call me back...0
