I called EasyHotel and they said to submit a claim as long as the hotel room / dates etc were the same, which I know they are as I checked DIYHotel just before I booked with EasyHotel. I also kept a screenshot just in case of any queries.

Did this all a few minutes ago. Am eagerly awaiting EasyHotel response - slightly panicked at having spent £550 on 3 nights hotel that I can't afford if I don't get it back x

Don't hold your breath! If my experience is anything to go by, you've got a nail-biting 10 days ahead - my claim was acknowledged 14th and still no confirmation! This is for a straightforward 'by the book' claim as well. I think they must be very busy!

Sorry! I'm in the same situation - it's driving me nuts! I'm not working at the moment so I check my email every hour - this morning I was hoping for good news but still nothing.

I did send a chase-up email on Monday - they replied saying it was still with head office....

You might be lucky, other posts have indicated that they got a quicker response over recent days.

Have just called them to confirm e-mail was received - a very helpful guy called Boris said they had and that he was going to do his best to get it confirmed asap. I am still left hanging but at least I know they have it now. It seemed as if he had to go off and look for it, so I recommend anyone who has submitted a claim to perhaps call them and def confirm it was received. Keep in mind that it is in their interests to leave it a while before responding as by then the other cheaper hotel could have sold out, in which case your claim would be worthless...

i just called again. spoke to some chap yesterday (where are they from?) and he said he would sort it out, no emails so checked again and some bird said she would sort it out and get it to HQ. i remarked how a delay could be costly!

im planning a trip for me and the girlfriend in november/December anyone got any decent hotels with a big difference would be greatfully appreciated
