Hello I have just come across this forum, I currently work at this company Jigsaw we are a fully above board buisness that work on behalf of blue chip companys that are very well known ie AIG sponsers of Man united football club and talk talk The car phone warehouse and other top leading insurance companys, we do our best and have the leading technolgy to try and prevent nuisence calls and would act upon any complaints, and we also work along the guidelines of the tps service and when we recieve data it may be that when the data is sent to us customers have not registered with the tps at that point and by the time we contact a customer the tps is activated so therefore when I make a call to a customer who is on the tps, as a sales advisor if i am informed by the customer that they are now with the tps I cannot continue with the call and it is reported and taken of our system. As a mother of two I find working for this company a joy to work and they are very flexible for working mothers I find it a shame that a few people can not take a few seconds to understand that when I am working I am just trying to earn a living to look after my family and it is no fault of my own how the computer system works and I have many many satisfied customers with my service over the phone and the product. But I do understand that maybe sometimes there is faults in the system and a small hand full of customers maybe repetedly called and it can be very annoying I have had the trouble myself but from indian call centre that are not above board so it give us a bad name.
oh and i must also add that the reason for our call is in to relation to something you have or brought for example new mother s who recieve a bounty pack from the hospital when there child is born also recieve a call from us to let them know that along with there pack they have 2 months free personal accident cover to take advantage of there is no obligation after these 2 months it is just so people can have a read of the legal document whilst being full protected during the two months and decide for themselves if its the protection the need for there family and perhaps compare if they already have one at our cost. if you want any more help I am going to let the MD know when I am next in work about this forum so they can persue the complaints.

Well that's what they would like you to believe. The name Jigsaw Insurance Marketing does sounds rather fancy but in actual fact this is just one of the telemarketing companies. They are forever advertising for employees as their staff turnover is so high. They pay their employees peanuts. People like Polly who are in charge at this company treat their employees with contempt. She spends most most of her time talking about the great holidays abroad she enjoys while those who work on the phones take home £5.93 an hour. Polly did make one admission to me while I worked there for a brief time, she said she didn't envy me and that telesales was 'soul-destroying'. Well they won't tell you that on the interview.
  • I think the poster already knows that, hence the "as I found them Immoral, Unethical and Illegal". I think their point is that the TPS is not a physical protection merely a bureaucratic one. I've had a few companies phone that I've had to point out their illegal actions and reported them to the ICO. The fact it's illegal unfortunately is not the same as them not capable of carrying out the calls.
    :j Yes, can't agree more.

Sorry to drag this old thread up, but this firm are driving me nuts - we have had numerous calls for weeks (up to 4 times a day) - on 0115 941 7773.

They hang up, and then there's an answerphone when I call them - you can't speak to anyone.

We have tracked every 'Jigsaw' firm we can find, and they say it's not them.

We are registered with TPS, and it's not helping.

We contacted OFCOM, and they appear unable to stop this firm.

I have contacted BT, and they say all we can do is sign up for 'choose to refuse' service (at £3.30 per month).

I am furious that I am now going to have to pay to stop these people - anyone know of any other thing I can try first?

    Thanks in advance.

    Lin :)
You can tell a lot about a woman by her hands..........for instance, if they are placed around your throat, she's probably slightly upset. ;)

Make sure you report the details of this incidents to the TPS every time it happens. Keep this up and they will pass the complaint onto the regulator. This is what I did last year - yes Jigsaw wouldn't leave me alone either.

Although we have not had calls from Jigsaw since, suspicious calls from a company claiming to be survey based call occasionally. Same thing with these guys - keep reporting every time.

As others have reported calling them will not stop the calls.
Buy a phone with call barring e.g. Panasonic.
BT offer a call barring service
    Buy a call blockerl http://www.amazon.co.uk/Callblocker-Telephone-Call-Screening/dp/B001M4AHQ0 or http://www.amazon.co.uk/TrueCall-The-Nuisance-Call-Blocker/dp/B002GP7HQM

See my post No.69.(and 70) I have had no more trouble since then. You shouldnt have to buy gadgets or pay anything at all to get peace from these rogues. Call-barring wont work if they use more than one number.
