Hows he taking the mickey? Sales people are people too, With bills to pay ect, and they do get alot of abuse. Ive worked in a sales role where we made outbound calls via an automatic dialler.

EDIT: And why blast the eardrum off the sales adviser? Not their fault is it, Its the company making the calls via an automatic system.
  • When I say the words 'I am NOT interested thankyou very much' the call should end. I have had 3 calls now where I have had to hang up on them midstream. I am the most calm person ever but Jigsaw stretch my patience. I have enquired 'what part of I'm not interested do you or your colleagues NOT understand?' only to have the caller start some scripted response.

I am enduring a difficult time 24/7 with 2 people close to me attempting suicide or suffering terrible illness and this type of call is unwanted by me on so many levels:

    1) I have never invited this company to call me
    2) the number is unlisted
    3) the number is registered with TPS
    4) I have caller display to block certain callers (can't be done with this lot)
    5) I am telling them I am not interested

Now at what point does a company INCLUDING an employee working for a company that works against the above listed points become responsible for their actions? Their methods are entirely questionable and people should know!

  • Again another call. This time I await only for my name to be asked. I'm too busy for this to become a battle. Got a confirmation email from TPS that they are going to contact Jigsaw about my specific telephone number. Until then I'm left wondering why EMPLOYEES don't remove people from the database when they clearly don't want the calls? Removal is NOT automated but neither is a lobotomy.

  • They tried calling yesterday but I was out. Caller Display tracked it ;)

Anyway they of course called again today. This guy James seemed nice enough and before he even got an answer as to how I was today (purlease!) I said 'James before you go any further can you PLEASE remove me from your database'. He blamed 'new staff' for not following through with removal. He assured me he had worked with Jigsaw Insurance (I wish they'd make their mind up what they DID!!) for one and a half years and would happily remove me. Also apologised if I had felt harassed by the calls and apologised for any inconvenience caused. Nice and calm.. lovely. I'm sure it's the same guy I've spoken to every time!

Now whether this makes a blind bit of difference is yet to be seen. Why this wouldn't have already been done over the last calls is surely down to staff incompetence. That's the way I see it anyway.

    Until tomorrow.. :D

I've been getting calls from Jigsaw for months - or rather, they've been calling my number. They ask for one of two people, neither of whom lives here. I've had this number for four years and have never had any problems with any other company, or with Jigsaw until a few months ago.

I always ask to speak to a supervisor. I have told them over and over and over that the people they are asking for don't live here. I've told them over and over and over that I don't want their calls, and that I'm registered with the TPS. They've apologised, again and again, and promised, again and again, to remove my number from their system...but the calls keep coming.

BT have set up a trace on my line (as the number is sometimes withheld), and have now traced two calls, and confirmed they're from Jigsaw, and have told Jigsaw to remove the number from their system. I'm not holding my breath.

if they call again, pretend to be one of the people they are looking for. Or say you are very sorry but they both died in a horrible car crash two days ago.

That company Jigsaw is at it again. I got more calls this week. I reported them to the TPS straight away, and , because of my complaints last year, the TPS will contact a government department (I forget which one.) who will send an official communication to Jigsaw. Watch this space for news.

I had a call yesterday from "The Health Department" asking if I suffer hearing problems because of working in a noisy environment in the past.

I asked two questions. "are you from a government department or are you a private company?" The answer was the latter. They were in fact a firm of "ambulance chasers" who trying to get some commission for a compensation claim.

The second question was "have you heard of the TPS". He had heard of them, so I pointed out to him he was breaking the law. I then put the phone down.
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?
