In 2 of the cases where they lost a laptop I had purchased, the tracking finished at the Manchester Delivery Centre. They told me they weren't even scanned in. To me that means they were stolen. It had nothing to do with my address at all.

In the case of the other instance where they delivered my item to a business address 3 miles away.

Despite having different addresses, different post codes and being in a different town, I have to admit that both companies have the word Foam in part of their titles. I can understand the confusion on that one. NOT!!

So you're basically accusing Yodel of stealing items instead of delivering them? They should put that on the side of their van.

Yodel left a card for an amazon.com order in my mailbox, saying they had missed me. Fair enough. I then tried to arrange redelivery on their website, following the instructions on the back of the card. At first, the number was not recognized. I called the phone number on the card, and after I finally managed to talk to someone, I was told that my tracking number should be traced by a different company (I had an eight digit number, but they expected 12 digits). I called the second company, and they (after a while) referred me back to the original call centre, where I insisted that their name was on the card, and they should be able to trace the parcel. After I had given them all my details, I managed to rearrange delivery for yesterday. As the order didn't arrive, I went to check the website again, and then called again (same procedure...), but this time, nobody could tell me what the status of my delivery was.

I finally ended up calling amazon.com (it was a gift, so I could not track online, but I had the amazon tracking number). They told me that the delivery had been "refused" on July 22nd, the day the card had been left, and that the order had been sent back to them on that day (that is, before I went through all the pain of re-arranging a delivery). To their credit, amazon gave me a full refund, and a $10 voucher for my next purchase. Unfortunately, I don't know when I'll be able to buy from them again, as they could not guarantee that the next delivery to the UK would not be with yodel.

My experience with yodel has easily been the worst I have ever experienced from a courier service.

I've had loads of Amazon stuff delivered by Yodel, and so far, all good! Polite delivery people, and if I wasn't in, they've left it with a neighbour and left a message for me saying where it was. Can't fault them really.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

Don't take my word for how bad they are, read a few of the reviews here. Laptops going missing seems to be quite a common occurance.

I admit that I'd never head of these people until I had to return something to Amazon.

I didn't think any could be worse than Citylink. I was wrong.
  • This has to be the worst delivery Company in the world. I am still waiting for an eBay item they were supposed to deliver 2 weeks ago. Their systems do not work - the reference number and my post code did not match so I could not even check the status of the delivery online, re-book delivery, etc.
When I rang them I found their their 'Customer Service' staff to be rude incompetent liars.
AVOID THIS SHAMBOLIC COMPANY AT ALL COSTS

YoDel are a nightmare. Self employed drivers. Says it all.

Well, have a try to say it all. What is it saying?
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark
  • I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking these guys are absolutley crap. Rebooked my parcel twice for collection, no one turns up. HATE this company and yeah avoid at all costs...
  • I dread Yodel/Home Delivery Network Deliveries despite their having an Amazon Prime ticket (for the time being). I would rather have the Post Office where I know everybody and re-delivery is easier to set up.

Likewise. If you get problems with Yodel, though, feed back to Amazon (or any other retailer) and make it plain that it affects your decision as to where to make purchases.

Companies do listen to this sort of feedback, and one that I use a fair bit told me the other day that they were getting a lot of complaints about Yodel and were considering dropping them. More importantly (for me), they've noted my account so that no future deliveries will be made by Yodel. :)
