Yodel delivery services - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

I have to agree with the OP here. Yodel are the worst Company I have ever dealt with.
Ordered a laptop from Currys/PC World outlet on Ebay using a 10% off coupon. No sign of it after 4 days. Checked the tracking number and it had stopped at the Manchester Delivery Centre and no-one could trace it from there. Eventually got a refund from Currys.
The week after I ordered parking sensors for my Dad's car.
Have a guess who the courier was? Yep, Yodel. Waited 3 days and got a call from a Company 3 miles away saying they had the sensors after Yodel delivered it them by mistake?? I had to go and pick them up.
Last Friday, found out I had a 15% coupon on Ebay so I used it to try and buy a laptop again, this time from Argos Outlet. Got an email Friday night saying it had been dispatched and would be delivered by Yodel.
Well I waited in on Monday, Tuesday - no sign. I got a tracking code from Argos and guess what. The tracking ended at the Manchester delivery centre on Monday morning. It's gone missing too. Just spoke to Argos and they are going to refund me. Really peed off because I've lost the use of the 15% coupon from Ebay.
Oh, by the way, don't try ringing the Manchester Delivery Centre. They leave you in a queue for 20 mins (0844 number) and then cut you off automatically. Barstewards!!

YoDel are a nightmare. Self employed drivers. Says it all.0

Well my post is on the same lines as most here. Yodel are without doubt the worst courier around. All the other couriers have no problem finding me - all well signed and my satnav finds it.
Their speciality is the phantom delivery, which used to be the trick HDL pulled. This is "put it on the van and drive around with all day and then book it back in". They have done this now for two days on the trot - no delivery attempted. I complained yesterday and was promised a call, but of course nothing happened. They have lost the complaint. I have done the same thing today but have zero expectation of a result. I can't stay in forever so expect if they ever do they will deliver when I am out - and then its back to square 1. It all means the traacking information on their website is meaningless. The sense I have is of going round in circles, so I have asked the vendor to treat the goods as lost and resupply. It makes the vendor look rubbish and in future I will contact vendors to ensure they will not use Yodel - if they do I will go elsewhere. Choice is my weapon. Yodel ar like a restaurant that can't give you a meal --utterly useless.0 -
I have to say I have never found a courier service that has'nt given me hassle with a delivery and I regularly get deliveries.
I ordered something from the internet last week, and got a tracking number but was not told who the courier was, through experience of tracking numbers I knew with a heavy heart that it would be yodel.
My package was fairly large and I watched its progress until it reached the local depot, it then said "returned to sender"!
I got on the phone to Yodel and eventually spoke to someone who looked up my details, turns out the allocated driver taking parcels to my area that day had refused to take the package as it was too large! It wasnt too heavy. I queried why and she said that the delivery driver was using his own personal car!!! and didnt have room for all the parcels if he took mine.
Luckily the parcel was still in the depot so it got sent out the next day in a van.
Shocking service!
Dont get me started on Royal Mail parcels!!0 -

Very pleased for you. I didn't post a complaint after the first loss because this type of thing happens. However, after the 3rd episode in 3 weeks surely that points to problems with the company.0 -

Or more likely a problem with your address. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Or more likely a problem with your address.
In 2 of the cases where they lost a laptop I had purchased, the tracking finished at the Manchester Delivery Centre. They told me they weren't even scanned in. To me that means they were stolen. It had nothing to do with my address at all.
In the case of the other instance where they delivered my item to a business address 3 miles away.
Despite having different addresses, different post codes and being in a different town, I have to admit that both companies have the word Foam in part of their titles. I can understand the confusion on that one. NOT!! :mad:0
