Parcel Broker collections with all couriers (and in Yodels case, Catalogue returns) are the lowest priority as they are not direct customers. So frequently get dropped, if a bigger money job or they run out of time.

    This happens with all couriers.

They get paid the same per job. I think they actually get paid a little more though, for customer-to-customer collections.

Actually. If the company has a £10 parcel2go or a £500 direct customer per day collection demanding a collection. They will drop the £10 parcel2go as its low priority, That punter from Parcel2go will go with whoevers cheapest on the delivery.

Sorry, but that makes no sense. They dont get a variance of hundreds of pounds for each parcel, if they did, all they would need to do is one a day.

In reality, we are talking pennies for each delivery/collection (I think it's about fifty pence), with maybe an extra twenty pence for customer-to-customer collections.

I've ordered from Amazon a few times and always get yodel delivery, who don't deliver and lie and say that it was refuse to be signed for at the door.

Who would pay and order items and then not sign for them ?

Then I bump into a neighbor in the next street which has the same name only its followed by Drive instead of Close, when I asked her if she had refused any items from Amazon she went red and stammered and said umm "I thought it was duplicate that I had ordered myself"

So sometimes its not Yodel who makes the mistakes.
  • I have had bad experiences with Yodel.

Yodel was terrible, they never managed to pick up our item after promising to five days in a row and then we had to use a different courier, I will never, ever use Yodel again as long as I live! They were rude, unhelpful and don't care for their customers, any businesses that use Yodel are sure to run into problems which will make them lose many customers within a matter of days. This is damaging to our reputation as an ebay seller because Yodel failed to pick up the item again, and again until they said TNT would be picking the item up, they picked it up within 12 hours of ordering, that's more like it. I wish I had read reviews before making the bad choice of using this appalling company, I wish the big companies do to, they are making a bad choice using yodel!
  • Because of Yodel, I have cancelled 2 orders, 1 from Virgin, and 1 from Blacks, for the simple reason that they never arrived.

Both times the same thing happened, and by reading other customers reviews, I see now that it is a common problem.
They never leave a calling card and when delivery is re-arrange, they just don't turn up.
The customer advisers have no clue of what's happening, they have access to exactly the same information we do, when tracking on the website.

Big companies like Virgin, o2 and Amazon will just lose clients if they insist on using Yodel, it's as simple as that.
  • First time I have dealt with a company that uses Yodel. Delivery was standard so was not expecting anything until Thursday. Received tracking code. It said that attempt to deliver was made on the 11/06 at 15.19 and that a no one home card was left. Was at home at that time and heard no door bell and saw no card. Today I checked and it says that parcel delivered at 15.20 and has my surname as signatury. Have not received anything! I was working upstairs and my brother was in the front room and neither heard anything. Don't have a clue what happened hoping its a glitch, mind wondering , never had any problems before when ordering from other companies . My worst fear is the low life scumbag that lives opposite me. We used to be friends when we was younger he was the type to steal from friends, start fights n then run off etc. I stopped hanging out with him 10 years ago since then I been to Uni n now working while his been to prison like 4 times. He ain't got over me 10 later n I wonder if he could of intercepted it, ie he is quite convincing n if he was nearby when the post came he could pull of pretending he lived there, unless if driver was bothered enough to ask him to open the door etc. The only reason this has come to mind is because a look he gave me 1 hour ago n I know his character.

I even checked with the neighbours no sign of it.My neighbours brought round a cake for me the next day don't know if that was a sign of guilt or not or just friendly I expect.Anyway got a refund from amazon even today still don't know where the parcel went.I make sure I never buy big parcels now just small ones because I know royal mail delivers them.

Must admit that Yodel do seem to have pulled their socks up a bit of late.
Was expecting a delivery scheduled for a Monday, and got a nice text two days early to say that goods would be delivered between 12 and 8 that day.Goods arrived and were signed for by 12:30! Not bad going guys!

Yodel was on watchdog couple of months ago can't remember when exactly so maybe that's why they might have improved named and shamed. They even threw an xbox over a garden gate.
