Well its the start of another week, and I'm determined to get some extra work done this week (whether I'll get peace to do it is another thing). Not feeling too well this morning but if i don't work i don't get paid
. I'm due some money back this week so hoping to make some extra payments to my debts later on this week. Money from Vivatic arrived this morning :T, will transfer that later. I know a lot of people will probably think I'm nuts for wanting to pay Egg off first but I think with that being such a small amount it will give me a boost seeing it paid off.
Wondering about having another clear out and putting stuff on ebay. The last lot of stuff I put on didn't make much at all (I know something is better than nothing but), compared to what I've got in months previous to that. Is the recession starting to bite for everyone?CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. The plan (if I get peace) is:-
extra work (did none last week)
arrange check up before my op beginning of next week
make extra payment to Egg
sort through some stuff to take to charity shop
re-pot my tomato plants as they are nearly 150 cm tall!!!! (Are they supposed to be that tall?)
sort out outfit for party on Saturday
..... watch what I eat this week, not allowed chocolate (need to lose some weight)
clicks and surveys
As my signature says I know I need to concentrate on myself but find it difficult to get two minutes to myself.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Then you are quite right to start there. And if you have a spreadsheet of your finances, keep the nil balance on there, when it comes, so that you can keep looking at it for those times when you feel you aren't getting anywhere.
Veg garden sounds great. I just have veg window boxes for now as I am renting and don't know how long I am going to be here.
An eeny, teeny, tiddly, piddly step forward is still a step forward - it's easy to forget sometimes. You are staying positive, that's the main thing.
Have a good week."Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0 -

Thanks Wordsmith. I'm using whatsthecost.co.uk and created a snowball. Had a rough day, big changes at work with everything else going on (in home life) it was probably last thing I needed. Came home and burst into tears. Feel better for it but was glad to get it off my chest. The changes probably won't be as bad as I fear but everything all at once was too much.
On another note, I'm going to look out a notebook tonight I'm sure I have one somewhere that I can use to collect together all the poems and sayings that mean something to me.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. UG, sounds like you may be suffering from depression. To help stay positive, use your notepad to write-down all the good things that happen each day and every time you have a negative thought, try to think of as many positive solutions to the problem as you can.
I know what it is like to have a 'blue' day, I had one today. I really could not be bothered to do anything and had to push myself to get through the working day.Never Knowingly Understood.

You're probably right Patman, been through a lot the last few years but I feel its time to make a stand and sort out the bits of my life I can changeCC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Hey unix, I use a notebook precisely for the quotes and inspirational bits that I spot and seems to resonate with me at the time. I come back to things time and again. Like Patman says perhaps write good things in there too. Each night I write three things that I am grateful for that happened in the day. It started off with things as simple as I woke up. I have found that over time I start to notice things more and my book has more than 3 things each day but start with 3 and make yourself think of things that you are grateful for. By doing that you start to focus on more positive things and it gives the strength to deal with the negatives even if they outweigh the good. Some days there aren't any trumpets, just lots of dragons. Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, I will try again tomorrow -- Mary Anne Radmacher0

hi Unix sending you hugs after the day you're had today.
hope you've managed to get some peace and time to yourself.
I think you're right to pay off your egg card first, i know that's what i did, if i didn't see some results i think i would have given in a long time ago. I agree what's been said before, i have kept all my debts on my spreadsheet so i can see my progress. I also make a note of my debt free date so i can see when i improve it.0
