Thanks Cheri, Pippi, LT and Patman.

My mood's a little brighter this morning (good songs on the radio so was singing VERY loudly in the car :p), but feeling a little run down (hopefully its not a cold coming on as have this party this weekend). OH's kids causing mayhem serious mayhem and decided enough's enough they're adults so shouldn't be behaving like little kids. Did food shop this morning before work and got a few bargains. Have 2 checks in bank clearing so that should knock a good whack of my debt too next week.

Ok, what am I grateful for this morning?

Good songs on the radio to sing to (sad I know :o)
A smile from a neighbour this morning when leaving the house
..... and my extremely vocal 'visiting' cat who decided to sit on the kitchen window ledge miaowing till i opened the back door to say hello, scratch his ears and put some stuff (he got some left over cooked chicken this morning) out for him (he's not my cat but a stray that belonged to a family in the next street who moved and decided they didn't want him. He's been outside for about 4 years now and no amount of persuasion from me or one of my other neighbours who feed him will tempt him inside. The animal shelter tried to catch him last winter and gave up. My neighbours made a bed for him in their shed which is where he has slept each winter).
CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J

but feeling a little run down (hopefully its not a cold coming on as have this party this weekend). I will keep my fingers crossed that you are OK.

OH's kids causing mayhem serious mayhem and decided enough's enough they're adults so shouldn't be behaving like little kids. Is this the root of the problem that OH keep bailing them out of stuff. Will he back you in letting them sink or swim? Do they live with you and should they? Good luck with sorting this out. I can only suggest talking and saying this is not OK to try and get the message across.

Glad I'm not the only one that sings along to the radio in the car. Only one of the kids stays with us (21 so really should be looking for their own place but never seems to have any money), the others don't but still manage to cause complete and utter madness. Will he back me? Probably to a point, without going into detail the stuff they get upto is beyond belief and the latest is just down-right awful. OH is sickened by it all and its making me ill. I've put my foot down and said its the last, my health is more important than running around after people that don't care about anyone else other than themselves.

glad you've finally put down your foot and are making a stand, it's not easy.
I'm also another car singer, music can really lift my mood. I've just realised that i don't seem to be singing along as much as i used to, don't know if it's the music now played on the radio or that fact that i feel permenantly tired most of the time.

I know how you feel LT, pictures of me now compared to only a couple of years ago i look a different person and not for the better. Work is carp as well and the latest is blame the new girl even though i haven't done anything. Didn't get much sleep last night, OH's kids causing chaos yet again so called police. OH not happy and hit a guilt trip this morning. Sorry but I'm fed up and they need to realise their behaviour is not on.

On the money front, I can't wait for the checks to clear as I have about a tenner left.

Its grey and miserable outside. The work smart alec decided I was on his radar for a wind up (lord knows why he gets away with annoying people like he does), I put him firmly in his place and actually got a sorry out of him. Told him his behaviour was juvenile (I'm pretty quiet so I don't think he expected a reaction, I'm assuming its the way I'm feeling at the moment). As for the work carp I've let my boss know and stood firm so hopefully she'll actually help me out and tell them where to go.

oh Unix, i really hope you get work sorted out. Why do people think that they can just get away with things, well done for telling the guy he was being juvenile.
sorry you had to call the police about your step children, it must have been serious and therefore was justified, hopefully some realisation of what is acceptable or not will hit them soon.
I had bizarre dreams last night, i think the underlying issues are my weight and that fact that i could soon be competing for my job with others.

Thanks LT, yes it was serious and they don't want to take responsibility so how do you help someone that doesn't want to be helped?

I usually find my dreams are trying to tell me something. I'm guessing you're not happy with your weight? Same here, I'm huge compared to what I was a few years ago (but back then I taught aerobics 6 nights a week, not fit to do that now).
Whats going on with your job? I'm good with interview techniques, cv's etc if you need any help.

    There are three options here:
    1. He controls them.
    2. They control themselves.
    3. Someone else controls them.

If he doesn't like option 3 - then option 1 and 2 are available. If option 1 or 2 are not chosen, then option 3 will be.

    It's not rocket science...

What a great post. Uni I know you're in a rock and a hard place but Master Z here has it in a nutshell.
