Z is completely right about controlling children, but it sounds like they're actually adults now not children.

Work is horrible, they're not recruiting but expecting people to take over the work of others that leave, but we're also all under review to save millions. My unit will be joined with the team from another organisation (can't be too specific) later on this year though they say they won't be getting rid of people till we have the same computer system. Trouble is i'm working with the teams that are leading all the change, which is a good challenge but also means i'm doing what in the other organisation is one persons job, on top of my day job. Plus we're now a person down through sickness so i'm trying to cover their work with a little help from the rest of the team. Just sucks really. I do like the challenge but ..........

Z you are right, but as I said earlier they are almost 20 so actually adults yet don't act like it. We had the tears last night, yet neither of us gave in and asked them both to leave as we'd had enough. At least got a good night's sleep. Looking forward to party at weekend.

Morning, Unixgirl. I don't know what the background is, but I can say well done, you - on standing up for yourself at work and for you and your other half showing a united front and asking the "children" to leave. I do hope you can both stick to your guns on this - you really will be doing them a favour as well as yourselves. With this massive distraction out of the way, hopefully you can start on the other things that are making life miserable. You deserve so much more, and although I know you're scared, unpleasantness now will reap great rewards for the future. Good luck.

I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.

Thanks wordsmith, we'd like to be able to concentrate on our own family if that makes sense (if it happens) without constantly wondering what the next thing will be.

thats a lot of flooring, you'll be busy for a while. Be careful of your back, I ended up in agony putting down my flooring in my hallway. :o

Done some surveys, had a little snooze. Dug in the freezer for dinner (left over roast, HM yorkies and mash). Off to bed shortly I think.

Mr LT will be doing most of the floor laying, i shall be in charge of measuring (the most important bit) and tidying, and probably lots of the planning, purchasing and moving of furniture. Oh there was only so many packs as it's solid bamboo therefore doesn't have a huge coverage per pack. We certainly don't have a huge great room!

Morning, bit tired this morning. Small payment to Egg today, and I have some money back in the bank! (will see what else I have expenses wise before putting extra away to to the debt.

My tomato plants are now more like triffids! I have 4 which started out 8 weeks ago only a couple of inches tall. They are all now at least 4ft all with little tomatoes. I'm well chuffed. I watered them this morning but have a feeling they are now all too big for their pots so will have to re-pot them.

I'm cream crackered today, feels like it's been a long week, glad we're both off this weekend, though literally just got a phone call from the doctors so have to be there tomorrow for 10. Phew at least it's not 8am!
