Uni's going to try and change her life for the better.....

Hello all, I've been on here for years and originally had my LBM when I originally joined but along the way i've had various setbacks, break-up, illness, redundancy and now other problems.

My aim for this diary is just to get stuff off my chest but chart my progress as i really would like to get out of debt as soon as possible but have a lot of stuff (and people) holding me back. Long story there and I won't go into it in my first post. The last 6 years haven't been nice for me and I'm determined in 6 years time not to look back and feel sad. I have a lot of debt to pay off and I've started charting my progres in my signature, still more to write up. If anything my debt has gone up over the last few months thanks to circumstance.

I'm determined to get rid of this fast and get 'me' back as I feel like I've been in limbo now for years and life is just flying by.

I do all the OS things where I can and surveys etc when I get peace to do them.

So, here goes.......... I've made the first step.... wish me luck :o

Well checked the bank this morning and although its not a nice feeling so soon after pay day seeing such a low balance at least I know my debt payments and normal bills are made for this month, all cleared bar one.

I should have a few pounds coming into my account tomorrow which I'll transfer over to one of my debts.

Good luck! I think I know how you feel - been there, done that. Starting afresh is so ... um, refreshing! Just look forward now.

If its not one thing its another. A gift experience I'd purchased, well company has gone bust. I feel like crying as I really don't have the money to replace it.

Ah, unixgirl, these things are certainly sent to try us. And it's always double the knock-back when you decide to strive for a better life.

I'm not too good on this type of thing. Did you pay for it by credit card, and if so can you get compensation this way? I'm sure someone more knowledgeable than I am can help you on that.

Failing that, I would explain to your friend or whoever it was for, what has happened. If I was the recipient of such a lovely present, I would be totally understanding and just sorry for the giver, so I'm sure your friend will be too. It really IS the thought that counts.

I hope someone can give you some sensible advice. For my part, well, hang in there. It will work itself out.

It could be worth contacting the administrators and seeing if they are trying to see it as a going concern - if so the people who take over should honour the purchases

hi Unix, glad i found your diary.

sorry to hear about the gift experience, i'd have a go at contacting them as suggested by Dragon. The worst they can say is no.

Looking forward to travelling along the debt free road with you.

    Hi Unix

Followed you over from Pippi's hope you dont mind. I love signature by the way so positive at the beginning. In answer to the second part of the signature here is one of my beloved quotes

I think that by starting your diary you are starting to let the fear go. Good luck and I look forward to travelling along with you too.
