sorry to hear about the gift experience, i'd have a go at contacting them as suggested by Dragon. The worst they can say is no.
Looking forward to travelling along the debt free road with you.
Thanks LT, I owe a lot more but I will slowly post it all once I get things sorted out. I'll contact administrators and let you guys know how i get on. I've had a bad day (home stuff) and its been noticed at work (last thing i need) but explained it away as fell (badly) at lunchtime.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Aw :grouphug:Unix, I didnt want to make you cry. It sounds to me like you are having a really hard time of it. Is there anybody that you can talk to (who is distant from all the family and home stuff and so has not set ideas or agenda).
Before Christmas I got myself into a state without even realising it. I posted on my diary that I was clumsy and falling over and dropping things and somebody pointed out that I had all the symptoms of anxiety. Sounds like you are displaying those same symptoms with falling etc. If people are noticing things in work then it is time for you to take a step back and rest. Perhaps go to the Dr and talk to them. There are things that they can do to help (counselling perhaps). I didnt listen and ended up at the Drs after a fairly bad car crash. He took one look at me and knew straight away that I was lower than I should be.
I know it is hard but you are obviously a strong person as from your post you have already been through some rough times and got through, having six wonderful years as you put it. You can change things around, you just need to get some help and support.
As for posting All debt I would suggest that you focus on one at a time and let the others tick over. Dont overwhelm yourself. So you have the Egg at £926.13 and the C1 at £9+++- Is this the most expensive/highest/lowest
- why did you choose to list this first is it because you want to tackle this first?
- Have you worked out any action plans for this one?
Sorry for all of the questions. I find that if I can focus my mind on one thing it makes it easier to cope. Hope that it helps you to focus by answering questions too.

Thanks Cheri, you didn't make me cry I am feeling very low but its good to talk about it. The Egg one is the lowest. I have 3 others apart from C1, the highest is around £13600. So its a lot, but having been on here for years I have seen worse and I know I can get through it. I talk to my Mum about the home stuff, but they just don't want to see me upset anymore. I get no support at home, I'm supposed to be the strong one.
I have a part time job which I can pick up and put down as I wish so I know I'm lucky yet I rarely get time to do it thanks to my home life and before that I didn't appreciate what I had if you see what I mean.
Although this has been a bad day, I should be happy I have people who care, that my bills are paid for the month and I have cash in my purse to go to supermarket. It means that any extra from other job (I did half an hour last week, so I'll get about a fiver) can go to extra payments on my debt. Logicallly I know that means my highest interest (one of the other ones I haven't yet listed), but I don't know whether it would be more of a boost getting rid of Egg first with it being the lowest balance. I'll probably mull that one over.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Thanks Lucielle.
I'm slowly posting all my totals. I think seeing it here will give me the motivation I need to finally slay them.
Since starting on MSE I have paid off my overdraft, student loan and car loan, just the rest to slay now!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You don't have to list anything on here that you don't want to, of course, but I would list all in one place (a spreadsheet preferably), if you haven't already done so, everything you owe, together with their APRs and the minimum monthly payments. This is for you only, so don't miss anything out - it is a horrible and scary thing to do, but it is a kind of containment of the nasty things and will start to give you a sense of control. And a base on which to build. Then do as Cherisong says, and pick one to concentrate on, without losing sight of the overall picture.
You are having a bad day today, but you are still able to list the good things - the important things. And don't forget the army of people on here ready to get behind you when things are too tough to cope with on your own.
Apart from the finances, do you know what you are aiming for for you?"Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.0 -
Yeah, a happier life. That probably sounds very flipant but its true. I'll probably expand on that one as I go along.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. not flippant at all. You just need to work out what it is that will make you happy and start working towards it one step at a time
Might be an idea to focus on one if it helps to motivate, doesnt matter which one just the one that you feel will motivate you the most. I chose my smallest. I dont list mine they are just for me as Wordsmith says

Dang it, Cherisong, that's just what I would have said if you hadn't got there first!"Green pastures are before me,
Which yet I have not seen;"
