I'm in Ireland and it is a fabulous day here too - a lovely change from the grey skies and sharp wind we've had for the last five weeks. And it's a bank holiday weekend for us. I'll be working, but I don't mind that. It's good to start the day in a positive mood, unixgirl. Have a good one!

Thanks Wordsmith. Where abouts in ireland are you? I lived in the north for about 6 months (company I worked for sent me over to work for one of their customers). I loved it, but back in sunny scotland now.

I'm in the south on the west coast. I haven't visited the north yet, but I understand it is beautiful, so I plan to go one day.

my friends are all off today, not fair. But then again i rarely get to have a proper day off (long story and its nothing to do with work).

I've decided although the Egg debt is the lowest interest i'm going to pay it off first. I think it'll give me a big boost knowing thats gone.

Well another payment cleared, interest still to get added on but its slowly going in the right direction. I'm owed money from someone for some work I did and as soon as I mentioned it today they changed the subject so backed it up in an email. They know they owe me it and I think they're dragging it out as long as possible. we're not talking a small amount either.

I absolutely hate when this happens. And then the annoying bit is when they do finally grudgingly pay up, they then ask you to do more work, and are surprised when you tell them to f*** off!

Sorry to hear that the family is part of the problem. I take it that talking has had now effect in this area?

Talking seems to have gone in one ear and out the other, they're about as helpful as ever. Did that sound convincing?.... No, mmm you can see why i'm fed up. I'm getting taken for granted and never get any peace its just one thing after another. I actually worked out (part time work dependant) that if i got peace to work extra hours each week and weekend I'd end up paying off my debt 18 months early! Ok, it would require a lot of hours but it would be worth it, instead I'm getting no peace at all. If its not one then its the other and my nerves are totally frayed. Most of my friends take nothing to do with them now as they can't stand the big black cloud and its all about them never about my friends (if that makes sense). Had row last night and think its starting to be realised I can't and won't take much more.

As for the work I did and not getting paid for, i'm guessing their ears must have been burning as they've just said they'll pay me by next wednesday, only 4 weeks after they were supposed to! Now thats 4 weeks interest I could have had or 4 weeks less interest on my debt which ever way you want to look at it.

Why do youngsters never listen to how to keep themselves safe?

Home, OH got us a takeaway (his treat as he got paid today) and I am doing clicks, surveys etc while watching tv.

Its been a long weekend. Had friends over tonight and it was good seeing them, home cooked meal so no big outlay. Not done a lot this weekend, a few clicks but no extra work.

On the plus side my vegetable garden is doing well.
