I checked it recently LT, it turned out one of my Mum's credit cards was on there from the early 90s! You can imagine the fun we had trying to sort that out. No reason given, I'm assuming its to do with the amount I owe as its quite a lot.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Ok, so I've had a slightly more productive day. One vivatic survey, some clicks, and some extra work (about £12 so not too bad, if I can add to that before the end of the weekend I'll be really happy).
Also took a few bits of clothes to the charity shop. The lady in there looked shocked to be getting donations! She said a lot of people now were taking their clothes to the clothes by the kilo places (she told me they pay 50p a kilo), whilst ok I sorted through my stuff and will ebay the more expensive stuff at least by giving clothes to the charity shop I know that I'm not only recycling but giving to a good cause and giving someone the chance to buy decent clothes at a reasonable price. I don't on principle give to the bigger chains of charity shops but the small independent ones as I feel they are more realistic with their prices. I volunteered in one of the chain ones many years ago and was shocked that they resold Primark items at more than what they sold for originally. But it is usually the larger charity shops that will get the old stock from M&S so basically you are getting new clothes (some places will cut off the original price ticket and the brand label, we were always told to do this).CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. we've been giving a fair bit to charity recently, just to try and get some space (which still isn't working at the moment) but some round our way say they're not taking donations at the moment, it's almost like they are getting too picky. Some of the folk in them are really snobbish as well and we're no way a posh location.0

It is all related. If they're not accepting stock, it means they have too much stock. If they have too much, it means people aren't buying. If people aren't buying, then prices are too high.
That leads back into the snobbishness..."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)
"We were born and raised in a summer haze." Adele 'Someone like you.'
"Blowing your mind, 'cause you know what you'll find, when you're looking for things in the sky." OMD 'Julia's Song'0 -
that's all too true Z!0

The charity shop I volunteered in were quite picky about what they took too, many a time someone came in with a bag of stuff and I'd be told to put it straight in the bin in some cases it was warranted (a bag of clothes, textiles that was crawling with fleas!), but in others it was just snobbery. I did suggest a box of the cheaper items (2 for a £1 etc) but they didn't go for it.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Ok, today I have:-
Done clicks
a survey
some extra work! (£10 roughly :j, so in total £21 for this week which will go to my debt)
cleaned my kitchen from top to bottom
Still to iron my stuff for the week, OH not too well (his kids getting him down again). Was hoping for an early night but not going to happen I think.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Thanks LT, there's sometimes where i would have been lost without my second job. I know i could earn more from it if there wasn't so much carp going on with OH's kids. My boss is great and the girls i work with seem like a good crowd. Anyway, off to iron my stuff then bed. So much for the early night....... had intended putting an item up for relist on ebay but its dropped off my list and couldn't be bothered taking pics again etc, bad eh?CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Its another gray day here, sorted out vouchers through a discount scheme I'm entitled to use (not long discovered this) and saved 7.5% on some vouchers. Not bad eh? This is for something specific to be bought so the savings do help.
On a really positive note I got my payslip for my 2nd job for last weeks work, £21.90! So not bad for a couple of hours work.
Plan for tonight:-
clicks
surveys
2nd job
look out white gloss paint (to paint a piece of wood to go above the front door to put a curtain rail on)
iron some clothes
......and have a general tidy up. I'm slowly sorting out my clutter and using up all the bottles of bubble bath, shower gel etc that I have. Determined not to spend a penny on these till I use up what I have.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera.
