well i've cleared most of mine slowly but i have done:
    ebay
sold things at work, car boot, table top sale
saved pennies (litterally) and paid them off debt
moved DD's & SO around in my current account so that i didn't go overdrawn as quickly therefore reducing interest payments
paid off highest interest debts first
    didn't buy things
when you could i played the free daily scratchcards on bingo sites, and took advantage of other bingo deals
    quicdco
    second job at one stage
used up the things i already had (mostly toiletry wise really, took me over two years to need to buy shampoo and shower gel whilst i was in the use it up mode)
turned off electrical things including the hot water

i wasn't the hardest hitting of folk (try Hypno for that) but i tried to make lots of little changes which built into a big effect.

In truth i think i would still be fighting my totals if i hadn't got married, now my OH helps pay the bills which leave me more money to pay off my debts, also i had some nice pay rises as i qualified and tried to use them for debt not for living.

I'm sure it's all stuff you know anyway, but i really do feel that the little things will add up to something large.

LT, what's the free daily scratchcards on the bingo sites? I thought you had to pay to sign up?

Did clicks last night, got my Toluna vouchers through and spent it on some craft stuff I needed. Still nothing from Vivatic, I wonder if anyone else is finding it quiet?

Updated my totals, slowly chipping away at my debt. I wish I could do it faster but its not going to happen. I got £50 through on friday so thats going towards my car tax.

you can't do them so much these days, but once you had deposited, played a free scratch card where you were guarenteed to win at least 10p, taken your money back you went and did the scratch card each day and then take it all out when you got to the withdrawal limit. Used to take a while but you got something each day. You're probably better off with the surveys.

What a morning, I feel like crying (At work so I can't)

OH's daughter being a ***** and thats the polite version! She has caused no end of trouble and even though she's miles away she's still managing to cause major waves. OH in a real downer and may get into trouble at his work for snapping at somebody due to the way he's feeling because of her. She knows whats she's doing and she just doesn't seem to care.
Missed a call at 1am this morning (so tired due to all the shenanigans) from my grandparents. Turns out my grandpa got taken to hospital (managed to get a hold of my parents who moaned I woke them up when I saw the missed call at 7:30!). To top it all OH was on a rant and basically I couldn't be bothered. Ended up late for work and just totally fed up. Grandpa ok thankfully, but feel rotten I missed the call (I'm 90 mins drive away).

If anyone has a magic wand can they wave it over my life please?

Spoke to my Gran, my Grandpa is still in hospital. Head injury, but they don't think its serious. he won't let them x-ray him. I'm having a bad day.

I've no magic wand, I'm afraid, but I'm thinking of you, if that helps. I'm glad your grandpa seems OK, but how frustrating he won't let them take a proper look. Is there any chance you could take a half day and go off by yourself for a few hours, just to get away from everything?

Do you and OH have a plan of action to stop his children giving you hell?

Which yet I have not seen;"
I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.

Thanks Wordsmith, it is a comfort to know people care.

Today just gets better, I fell up the stairs thank fully not down onto the side I had my surgery. Have cut elbow and knee. Lovely eh? Am feeling quite sorry for myself and needed time out for 20 mins from work so took myself for a little walk and bought a packet of my favourite crisps. Unfortunately no chance of getting away this afternoon as a lot of the other managers are away so i'm covering.

To fill you in on my Grandpa, a very proud man (taught me how to put scaffolding together, change an oil filter tyre and fan belt, wire a plug and change fuses all by the age of ten) has had a number of strokes over the past few years. When he has a good day he can be quite like himself only quiet and when he's having a bad day he barely understands people and is scared of strangers. Today is a very bad day for him and he's not recognising anyone apart from my Gran. My Mum has gone through to be with them both but last I heard he was still refusing to cooperate.

As for OH's kids, he knows my feelings on it. Its time for us, they're adults and we shouldn't have to pick up mess after mess and still get it flung in our faces.

Off to wallow for five mins and enjoy my beef hula hoops (sad eh?)

Did some surveys tonight which is something, tried to chill but my Grandpa still on my mind. He gets home tomorrow, so Gran is having a quiet night tonight.

OH still letting things get to him and taking it out on everyone else.

Off to bed now, tomorrow's another day

Another day, quite sore today after fall yesterday. OH annoying me by phoning me continually at work (ok it was for a reason but not that important), does he not realise it could get me into bother? No point in trying to reason with him (tried that before at previous jobs and he'd still call!), tried not giving him my work phone number and that just caused rows upon rows! Anyone else have this problem?

A little less tired today, put earplugs in last night as my neighbour has taken to letting her dog bark at all sorts of hours.

Have some referrals to do for a friend on survey sites so that should net me some pennies. Will need to call second job and give them details as they are changing their pay system.
