Hi All, I'm only just back I was nicely chilled out and OH is at war basically with his kids and one of them is causing no end of trouble.

Got loads of nice things whilst away, yes I know I shouldn't have been spending but got some amazing bargains, new clothes, make-up, toiletries, tights, socks (thermal), pj's (thermal for £4), egyptian cotton bedding set for £14! So I did not too badly.

    How is everyone?

Egg total updated, will do the others later. Vivatic very slow, am 70p from collecting another tenner and there's been no surveys.

As the posts above mentioned I stocked up on lots of things whilst on holiday for presents for some birthdays and christmas. Found a lovely little jewellery stall in bonny st (blackpool) that sold the crystal bracelets that are all the rage and bought the one I was after (£3), and now kicking myself as seen in gift shop near my work the same bracelets for 4 times the price!!!! I'm now wishing I got a few more as little presents for people.

Well done!!!! No norty spending corner for us LT. :j (now where's the victory dance emoticon when you need it? :D)

.................. I bet you're chuffed to bits? Don't feel bad spending. I've realised that if its something I can justify why not? Although bit taken aback by the varying in sizes in the shops at the moment, sometimes even in the same shop!

I still have my totals to update. Have a little money left over from my holiday (not a lot) but waiting until the end of the month before I chuck it at the debt in case of any nasty surprises but so I don't touch it I've put it into my savings account.

Vivatic, still 70p away from collecting the next tenner.

Clicks, not done any while I was away or since I got back.

OH's kids driving me nuts as usual (starting to get angry about the whole thing and I'm one of the calmest people usually!)

Need to phone second job and arrange to go paperless as they are doing away with their paper payslips.

Was bad yesterday and went for lunch with a friend (spend £7.50), but it was good to catch up. I took the money for lunch out of what was left of my holiday money.

......Can't think of anything else. Have shower to tackle tonight, have mould (black) in one section and it won't shift (even with neat bleach left on it over night). I'm wondering if its right through the grout in that area? Might investigate this weekend. Once its clear I might actually seal it over with that clear stuff you can get.

Updated another total, nice to see them finally come down. Car tax is due, I may go for 6 months as I have the cash there for that but it would be a stretch for 12 months. Checked in with Vivatic but still no surveys, thats been a week. I wonder if this is affecting anyone else?

Quiet night for me, will get some clicks done and then (early-ish) night.

Its a bright sunny morning. I made a small payment to cc's this morning (£5), which is better than nothing. Still nothing on Vivatic, am going to try and get some extra work this weekend. We are apparently getting small payrises at work but don't know how much, am planning whatever it is to put it away for slaying my debt. I'd love to be able to do a balance transfer but am convinced because of the amount I have I would get turned down so I am thinking about using the existing cards I have and see what I can transfer from one to the other.

To do list for this weekend:-

    clicks
ebay (have a few items which should sell hopefully, is anyone else finding ebay slow these days?)
    surveys
    extra work

.....and clear some clutter in the house (including putting some of it onto ebay)

for anyone reading this who has had quite large debts, how did you slay them? All ideas welcome

Ok, after some digging it seems I may be able to transfer a little from one cc to another which is a lower rate. I think I may keep hammering away at each and transfer a bit at a time.

Looking through other people's diary there are a lot of people out there that have had worse debt than mine and managed to pay it off quite quickly (1-2 years), how did you do it?

    Here's my plan:-

cut back expenditure where i can (inc supermarkets, have switched to Aldi's)
    clicks
    surveys
    extra work where i can
    ebay

Is there anything else I can do?
