Sorry i've been awol, a lot going on but think I've convinced OH that we need a life and to let them get on with it! Had a lovely day with OH in a park quite near to us (20 mins drive), we walked around the lake (I know I'm in Scotland but this is definitely a lake) which is 4 miles and stopped at the marina for a bite to eat. OH in his element taking pictures and we got chatting to this family and took some nice pictures of their dog for them who was as happy as can be paddling about in the water. OH has not long emailed the pictures to them. Thankfully remembered the suncream but am still a little pink.
HM burgers for tea, with a little home grown garlic in them. Am absolutely stuffed!
Trying for some extra work tonight but nothing happening so far, I think everyone is out enjoying the sunshine. So just clicks and some surveys.
Got all the washing done, dried..... just not ironed yet!
Am looking into setting up a website (more for me than anything) for the cards I make and share ideas (pictures of the cards i make and techniques) but not thought about it seriously .....yet.
Grandpa not too well, we went through to see my grandparents yesterday. He's totally bed bound now and they are getting a hospital bed in as a normal one is too difficult for him now. I'm hoping he perks up as each time he's in hospital when he comes out he's like this and then bounces back a little. Did a few chores for my Gran (not a lot, I don't know how she does it but her house is always spotless!).
Tomatoes doing very well but are still green, anyone know when the ripen?CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. hope your grandad rallies and picks up. sending you hugs.
Glad you got time to talk things through with your OH. Hope you both keep smiling.0 -
ref the tomatoes unix. if you are in the north, I am guessing it will be another 3 or 4 weeks yet.
Sorry to hear that life is so hard with OH children. I hope that he isn't enabling her by funding her behaviour. Some times the only way forward is no contact. he has to set boundaries that you BOTH can live with.

I'm hoping it stays as no contact Chev, for the sake of mine and OH's sanity. its not fair what she's doing and its starting to affect more and more people.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Clicks and surveys tonight. Done half an hour's extra work so that's a fiver. Hoping I can build that total up this week. Got my date for starting in the new department, its a bit of a promotion so pleased. Off to bed now am knackered!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. I can relate to your issues with family. I have no contact with my step brother as he isn't to be trusted sadly. Thankfully he though he isn't as obviously destructive as your step child seems to be.
As I said before tough love is as tough on the parents as it is on the child. But sometimes it is the ONLY way to make a change. And sometimes the no contact has to be for life too...:(
Well done on your new start date.

Thanks Chev.
Shower blew this morning, why does that sort of thing always happen only once you've put shampoo in your hair?CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Right, bright sunny morning and work colleagues are throwing a congrats lunch for me for new job. Will still be working with some of them just in another department and a bit more responsibility. Got paid today so will be paying the cc's shortly. Nice to see them slowly coming down.
No extra work last night, ended up making cards instead. Must post my work online somewhere. I find it very therapeutic.
On a different note, have found the best everyday hair conditioner. Sainsbury's basics its 47p for 500ml. I have pretty long hair and its good for using on a regular basis. No tangles, doesn't weigh my hair down and has a nice smell. Bargain for 47p!CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. hi uni congrats on the new job, glad you made that decision.
hope you got the shampoo out of your hair lol mine did that a few years ago it's so annoying isn't it!
may have to have a look at the conditioner you've recommended but i need to get through all the bottles i have in stock at the moment. Shussshhhh don't tell OH but i've just turned one bottle into fabric conditioner as we'd run out of that.0
