hi uni congrats on the new job, glad you made that decision.
hope you got the shampoo out of your hair lol mine did that a few years ago it's so annoying isn't it!

may have to have a look at the conditioner you've recommended but i need to get through all the bottles i have in stock at the moment. Shussshhhh don't tell OH but i've just turned one bottle into fabric conditioner as we'd run out of that.

I have been known to do that as well LT :rotfl:

sorry for going awol again, OH's work is all over the place so not had 2 mins to myself. My work is manic!!!!!! I am constantly chasing my tail (well thats how it feels at the moment), I'm sure once I learn who everyone is and what they do I'll settle in (different building and different part of the company). I miss my friends from where I was before. I know I'll make new ones but it's the whole settling in thing. One of the ladies who used to work for me asked all the ones from her language class who work in this building to look after me (I thought that was really sweet).

As for the debt, I made my repayments last night so I'll update my totals shortly. Have a little extra this month (though its disappearing fast as I need to pay my road tax and get a new bulb for my car, which I may just fit myself to save cash). Hoping to get some extra work this weekend from my second job (the new one may come with overtime but trying to avoid that one). Got paid £9.80 from Vivatic, so as soon as that's transferred from my paypal account to my bank I'll pay that towards my debt.

LT, its good conditioner. I'm finding a lot of the Sainsbury's basics stuff is really good. The teabags (30p for 180) are nicer than Tetley one cup.

Right, better get back to the grind. Hope everyone has a good friday.

My Grandpa is back in hospital so been back through to my home town twice in two days. I have spent a lot (petrol etc, bought dinner for my Gran as it was what she fancied and I didn't want her cooking) but its worth it and I'll cut back elsewhere. Please keep your fingers crossed for my Grandpa (he has pneumonia). Went over yesterday, had also taken flowers from my garden for my Gran to cheer her up. Went back today, and thankfully he's looking a little brighter (he's on very strong antibiotics and a drip). I've been very upset as its serious, and keep crying at the drop of a hat.

Taken my mind off things by doing a little extra work (made £17) and done some clicks and decided to update my diary. Updated some of my totals, nice to see 'Doi' going from nearly 11k to closer to 10k.

    Signing off for tonight.

Sorry to hear that your grandpa is so ill. That must be very tough to deal with. How are your parents coping too? I hope that he comes through ok

My Dad's answer to it was to fly off on business, leaving my poor Mum to deal with it all Chev. He's not exactly in her good books. OH keeps moaning about his daughter and her her behaviour, told now is not the time..... and quite frankly I don't want to hear it. Ended in a row but told him she's never welcome back in our house. She's put a load of letters through our door belonging to her (a mess she got herself into) and I know for a fact she'll turn up at some point. Told OH to turn her away as I don't even want her there for a visit, her behaviour recently has left a lot to be desired and its the last thing I need to deal with at the moment. She'll cause chaos then moan about the fall out, then will do nothing to help herself.

Anyway, on a nicer note I treated myself last night to some craft bits off ebay (cheer me up). I make cards, hampers and jewellery. Looking forward to getting the stuff through.

Egg total now down to £628-ish, I'm wondering how quickly I can get rid of that debt now? At the moment OH and his son not in position to pay anything towards household bills so I'm left with it all (OH said he will pay me back eventually, by then it'll be over 2k which although will go a long way to pay things off it will take a long time to get back). Egg is my lowest APR but as its the lowest total it would be nice to get rid of it asap (paying £100 minimum a month to it at the moment, so it'll be february before its paid off if £100 is all I pay each month). I have some Quidco money due soon (only a few pounds) so I'll chuck that at it, and possibly the money I'm due this week from my second job (about £17). I know it probably makes more sense paying off the highest APR first but I think this would give me a boost.

hi Uni hugs about your grandpa, i hope he recovers quickly.

grr to OH and his kids... again. Sending you hugs.

i have to admit that i often opt for the pay something off quickly option rather than fight against the highest APR for years before you see some results option, it's what keeps me motivated. good luck i'm sure every additional pound will make a difference

Ok, best laid plans never work out do they? We need a new shower, its been patched up (it'll last a few weeks but will not go to hot only lukewarm) but to be honest it's the last thing I could be doing with (also had to get new headlight bulb today).

OH's daughter trying to weedle her way back in again, no chance. She's not bothered saying sorry or actually showing any of us that she means what she says. I know it probably sounds harsh but after the things she's done I don't think sorry quite cuts it.

My Grandpa is a little better today, still shaky but took my Gran's hand today and held it tight. He's still on a drip and they're keeping a close eye on him.

Quidco emailed me to say my payment of £3ish will be paid soon, but can see that going towards a new shower. Will see how much extra work I can get this week.

Morning All, I'm between buildings at work at the moment. Quick update, cost of new shower £90 (including my discount). Can't see the point in spending a fortune when I don't have to just to get more spray settings! Will hold off for a few weeks see if I can make that from my second job. £3.17 paid to 'Doi' this morning, that was my Quidco money. I'd miscalculated bills, so actually have slightly more left over than i thought.

I'm really tired this morning, had to pick OH up from work this morning so that meant being up at 5am. Also VERY bad this morning and had a McD's for breakfast (OH's treat), but seriously need to start losing some weight. My chocolate 'gene' seems to be kicking back in unfortunately. For those who didn't know I had an operation last month and after the operation I could not stand the sight of chocolate. Unfortunately it seems to be wearing off! Have started doing some sit ups (now that I'm allowed to), and did 5 last night and 5 this morning which considering I only had my op a month ago is pretty good.

Chilli's are doing REALLY well, gave some to OH's nephew and he loves chilli's. He said they are fab, one of my tomatoes is nearly ripe too.

    Anyway better get on.
