Just catching up. So sorry to hear about your Grandpa. No wonder you keep crying, you are entitled to you know.

Engine Management system - sometimes this comes on to tell you that you need a service. I agree with Z keep using it.
Housekeeping - I used to pay my Mum £20 per week in 1981!!! I only earned £23.50 and the housekeeping didnt cover my lunches, or things like shampoo etc. Really. Glad the cousin tells him how it is. At least he realised that you are upset over Grandpa.

Big hugs and take care of yourself as well as everybody else.

Thanks guys. Working from home, called work after I spent an hour crying this morning. Can at least work and 'try' and take my mind off things but without facing anyone.

As for the car, I'll google it later see if I can figure out what's wrong.

Hello All, funeral was yesterday. I'm still quite numb. Lots of tears yesterday, tears last night, not a lot of sleep and tears this morning.

My debt has been last thing on my mind but with the car needing fixed, the shower limping along and our matress needing replaced I need to start trying to get things back into order.

The car is a complete mystery after 4 hours at the garage they are still none the wiser. The shower is sort of working so it'll have to do for the moment and as for the matress, I'm tempted to look the spare duvet out of the loft and put it over the mattress.

Sorry to be late with this, unixgirl, but my sympathies to you and your family on the loss of your grandpa.

We'll be helping my Gran sort out some of his belonging at the weekend. Its going to be hard, as they brought me up.

Ok, we thought car was fixed, drove it home (over £100 poorer) and this morning it wouldn't start. The garage now says its something else and we're looking at another £250! and they can't even guarantee it'll fix it.

Fed up, fed up, fed up, fed up!!!!

OH doing his woe is me act (over his kids behaviour), told him grow up, don't need it, not now, not ever. Told him its like I only get a couple of days to grieve and bam its back to him. He started the whole 'I'm making you miserable' lark, told him if I'd been happy over this last week there would definitely be something wrong with me! :(. Told him his kids are on their own and want nothing to do with his daughter (she was in touch and at least he told me but she's back to her old games), told him its up to him but he can't change their behaviour (they're adults) and he's making himself ill trying or feeling guilty about trying and it not working! He's barely eating, told him (my Grandpa passing away has made me realise life is too short to muck about) to sort himself out, he has one life and he's wasting it on someone who doesn't care at all and at any opportunity would happily kick him in the teeth, swear, shout and attack him. He says all he sees me is as tired, depressed and stressed........ and that I'd be better off without him, told him to get off his soapbox, stop feeling sorry for himself, I've needed him this past week and do not need his daughter causing carp, not now, not ever. I have enough to deal with and am still grieving.

We were all given a yellow rose at the funeral from the flowers that were laid on his coffin (my Gran thought we would appreciate it), I've pressed mine and will place it in my favourite book.

I'm back at work, although working from home for main job (started back at second job last night which is home based anyway as with car repairs I really need the money), will hopefully be back to normal next week.

Well said, unixgirl. You need to concentrate on your own emotional needs at the moment, not deal with someone else's. Stand strong.

Good luck with the job ahead at the weekend. It'll be sad, but it is also a necessary part of the grieving.

Thanks Wordsmith. Claimed my car back from garage before they tried anything else and cost us more money, car is still doing exactly what it was before!....except I'm over £100 poorer (well OH is he paid it, I stood up for myself on that one as well.... he had money in his account .... I didn't, he uses car as much as me).

OH has said he'll pay to get the car fixed properly, except no one knows whats wrong with it! I now know loads about electrical fault codes, lambda sensors, and ECU's!..... and believe me I'm no mechanic.

Go somewhere far away this weekend, and screw the tits off it getting there. That should sort it one way or the other.
