Hello,
sorry to hear about losing your Grandpa, thinking of you. It takes as long as it takes to grieve & no one can tell you how long that should be.
Take care of yourself
xx
ps - I was paying £20 a week to stay at home in 1986 & there was definitley no washing or ironing included. When my eldest was working full time & living here 4 years ago, she paid £150 a month & moaned. Now she has her own place, pays over £600 & wishes she could come back.
No chance !0 -
oh my poor Uni, i feel bad that's i've been mia on here and it's all been going on for you. Hugs over your grandpa's funeral, pressing the yellow rose was a lovely idea.
glad you've told your OH that he needs to grow up and be there for you for once, it's probably something he needed to hear and needs to continue to hear. Bloomin kids who'd have them anyway??0 -
The car will not start now, the garage claiming no responsibility. Booked it into main dealer but goodness knows how I'll get it there (40 miles away).CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. You can enjoy it even if you don't understand it and too much can give you a headache the next day J0

If you don't have home start can you push it down the road a bit and then call the AA/RAC? Or what about the dealers coming and picking it up? I would be giving the garage a rocket too, suggesting that perhaps their lack of customer service and follow up would make in teresting reading in the local papers....
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

hope you managed to get the car to the garage and they can sort out your car cheaply0

Thanks LT, back at work. They've been great. New boss and new team great. Had lots of sympathy cards on my old desk which I had to pack this morning. Couldn't open the cards. Is that wrong? Just not ready.
OH kids at war again. Told OH no more, this time the boy. Won't go into detail but suffice to say I could have cheerfully choked him as was supposed to be spending all day yesterday with my Gran and spent more than half the day running about sorting out his mess. He then tries to guilt trip me about his sister and went in a strop when it didn't work and told him he better not invite her or anyone to do with her to my house.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. glad work is going great for you, you deserve it. I can understand why you couldn't open the cards whilst at work, i'm sure no one would have expected it of you.

............only a month , the way I feel right now I wish they'd disappear forever.
Found a little time for extra job tonight, only there's nothing doing. OH told his son he has to start paying his keep as of this week (as he gets paid). Only £20 this week as he doesn't know if he's being kept on, if he is then its going upto £30. He moaned until I said well you can always move in with your Auntie (she said she'd take £80 a week from him and that wasn't including food).
update: got some extra work, a quick reading 5 mins. Not a lot of pay but its a start to the week. They won't pay out any less than £10 in earnings now for the week. So if I do a little each night then its easier to hit the target. Saturday nights I tend to get a lot of work, some are complete time wasters. Others I feel really sorry for.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera.
