I paid £20 a week when i was 18 20 years ago. He is taking the p!ss big time. And he knows it. How much does he earn a week net? A third of that should be rent money. third into savings and a third to do with as he wants......As for the daughter, just remove her number from your phone. Do the same for OH and leave her to it. When she phones just hang up. She is not YOURS.
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Thanks Chev, depending the hours he works he makes between £90 - £180 a week. Hence the low dig money. He's also needing his car fixed again (I hate cars, I really do) and he's used all his savings. We keep telling him that he needs to be saving for repairs, insurance, road tax etc but he doesn't listen). Although we can't say anything as we're in same boat now. Have prioritised that my car gets fixed first, then the shower then a new mattress.
OH's daughter, she changes her phone number that much neither of us have her up to date number (she changes it every few weeks, with new excuses each time). I refuse to speak to her now. Told OH the same and said for his sanity and health and mine until she starts to make serious changes in her life and say sorry and mean it I want nothing to do with her or anyone round about her or her mess.
I think once OHs son has a permanent job he will move out as he hates being told to tidy up, when to get up, change his bedding, where he's going etc. ...............well I can hope!
I think next time Ebay do zero insertion fees I'm going to have a clear through and get rid of a pile of stuff, including OH's daughter's stuff she left behind. She's not lived with us now for over 2 years and she's not interested in her clutter. In saying that most of it is junk so I may just bin it. Not sure if OH will be happy but tough. She doesn't want the stuff (she has a house of her own, where we don't know) so it can't be that important. I'll ebay my old clothes, empty printer cartridges (had found website that gives you money but you need to be upto £20 before they pay out and we don't go through that much ink) etc.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Quidco paid out £1.12. But my mobile bill is £33 (usually sub £30) so don't know why its more and everytime i try and load the bill (pdf) it crashes. Ok so its not massively over but every penny counts at the moment.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. hi uni, your second job sounds interesting.
I think i'll be taking advantage of the next free ebay weekend, i'm going to cull my crafting wooden stamps i think, i may list some on the notice board at work though just as a punt. I won't get them out of the cupboard yet as we've a valuer coming around tomorrow am.0 -
Are they the kind of stamps you use in card making LT? I make cards.
My second is doing tarot readings, I know some people don't agree with it but the company I work for are pretty good. They helped me get setup as self-employed and sort out my tax as it being a second job. I could potentially make about £100 a week, but it depends how much time I spend logged on and how many people want readings. I tend to do my clicks and surveys whilst waiting on readings coming through. My wages get paid once a week directly into my bank account.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. The traditional system is thirds: A third board, a third enforced savings and a third to blow on what the hell he wants.
So board would be between £30 and £60 a week, and same with the enforced savings.
If he had enforced savings, he wouldn't need to listen. It would happen or he'd have to move out. No long-winded explanations needed.
You can say something, as you're subsidising a lifestyle he can't afford on his own. If you weren't subsidising that lifestyle, then you'd already be able to afford to fix your car.
By funding that unrealistic lifestyle, you know he's going to hit debt hard when he moves out. And then blame you."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I know Z, he knows he's taking the p***. Sunday taught him that (believe me, not a pleasant experience), told him he pulls a stunt like that he can move out and his car stays with us for the money he owes us. He's basically stayed out of my way, told him I wasn't taking anymore carp and he seemed surprised. I'm normally very laid back but the last 2 weeks have changed me I think for the better.
Told him he's to put £100 into savings and we'll take his bank card, he's not happy but after last weekend no chances. £20 to me in digs, and he's not with us all weekend. Means out of £60 left over, £20 goes to his fuel for the week and £40 is his.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Can someone please tell me why bad stuff comes in 3's????????
Heard back from Citroen, its two grand to fix my car! I have no choice but to get it fixed. Have no savings left after last week. Have just burst into tears in front of colleague at work (couldn't have doen it in front of a better person as he's quite sympathetic and not one of the rottweilers). Mum's offered to put it on her card and transfer it to the 0% one she has just got. Not told OH yet. No option but to fix it as can't afford to replace it at the moment.
I'm feeling VERY sorry for myself. I'm now trying to figure out ways of coming up with 2K to pay Mum off. .........Why me?CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera.
