Another early start, took OH to work. Feel quite tired but go job app to do this morning. Trying to wake myself up first before starting. Had 2 cups of tea and may go for a third.

Is anyone else cold? Finding it hard to get washing dry. I was having a look at the electric clothes dryer stands (I hate tumble dryers), has anyone else used these?

I always read your diary, I haven't joined in because I am in a similar situation as you, unemployed and looking for a job. I get a bit fed up not hearing back from agencies. Actually, more than a little fed up!

I have a heated airer, it is marvelous, you can have all the arms up or just a few. I keep mine in the garage and find that if I hang the washing out overnight most of it is dry by the morning. I write myself a large note and stick it on the door to the garage to remind myself to turn it off [money saving and all that :D]

Thanks Dragon, I'll go google see what size they should be.

Piq, sorry to hear you're unemployed too. It can be a pain when agencies don't get back to you. Most I've dealt with are actually ok, I've only come across one or two people that are beyond self importance. Thanks for the info on the dryer. I've found a few on ebay but they have more than a few days to go so I'll keep an eye on them as I can't afford to buy one at full price.

Tea tonight was sausages (YS, 64p), mash and beans. I've finished knitting my scarf, I just need to sew in the ends now.

I've joined a declutter challenge on the OS board as I really need to get the house under control. I cannot get near my office and a few of the jobs I'm looking at are home based. The challenge is you have to get rid of a bag a week (I'm thinking bin bag size). I might start with the bedding I said I wanted rid of. I'm volunteering tomorrow and there's a cash for clothes style place nearby. I could donate the stuff but the CS's nearby can be picky about what they take and since I know the shop where I go won't take it (as they don't sell a lot of bedding), I don't want her taking offence if I take it to one of the others and at the moment I could do with the dosh.

Its pink LT, you'd be more than welcome to it if you would like it. Its got quite a grown up pattern. Will send you a picture of it tomorrow. Feeling sorry for myself tonight, another rejection.

Morning All, very tired. Considering having a nap on the sofa. Been up since 4:30. Didn't eat a lot yesterday, not sure if its a bug or stress. Had some porridge this morning even though I didn't feel hungry.

The job situation (or lack there of) is doing my head in now. I didn't think I'd still be looking for a job now I really thought I'd have something.

OH's birthday in a few weeks, not got anything exciting for him since money's tight. Planning on making a cake, I got tiny little chocolate stars, hearts and moons to decorate the cake but am I better covering it in icing or buttercream?

sorry to hear about the job rejection, that sucks :(
thanks for the offer of the duvet but i don't 'do' pink lol.

what does your OH prefer icing or buttercream? if i had to choose i'd go for a dusting of icing powder but then i'm not a big fan of either icing or buttercream, but the later is the better of the two choices.

Not a great thought I know but I guess it won't be long until they are hiring christmas temps... I guess there is no work not even via Manpower, manual work?
I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

They won't touch me Chev, I'm 'over-qualified'! I have an interview today and waiting to hear about another job that I would really like but has descended into complete chaos.

I'm tired after a week of getting up with OH at 4:30 and SS is doing his usual sulky mood, couldn't be bothered and asked him to stay out of my way. He's in for a shock if I get one of the jobs elsewhere as OH and I will need to move and he certainly isn't staying in my house, 1) I can't afford for him to and 2) I don't trust him not to trash it. Wondering why he can't be more like my hairdresser, she's same age as him, polite, just finished college and does home visits as a hairdresser and has a full time shop in a retail store as well, she keeps her car nice and from what her Mum tells me (we used to work together) she's helpful around the house. Are these traits disappearing in the under-25's?

LT, cake-wise I think OH would eat anything but wanted something the little cake decorations will stick to.

Lol to not being a pink person :D, I'm the same but then again I wear a lot of black and I love red. The room that was SD's which I now call the spare room (she's been gone 3 and a half years) I have cream walls and a dark red duvet cover and pillows with cream curtains but planning to change it back to the way it was before she ever had the room which was orange/red indian style fabric for the duvet and curtains.

Job wise I had another interview today, but still no further forward (have to wait again). Getting quite fed up :(. Another interview in 2 weeks.

Sitting chilling out, feet up with a glass of merlot. We (OH and I) had takeaway pizza (............naughty I know :o). Done clicks, a few surveys and my ebay item is upto £4 :j.
