It's DIY friend's birthday today have sent her a birthday message but not heard from her since well before my holiday.

Through to the city tomorrow, wish I could find somewhere that wasn't so extortionate for parking but it needs to be done. Will get my list together for supermarket, have load of money-off Mr T vouchers. OH and SS barely ate anything whilst I was away, so they was loads out of date! .....well 5 ready meals and a pack of mince (dated 26th june _pale_), there was a small pizza that was 2 days out of date and I chanced that for my tea.

I still haven't unpacked (bad Uni), will need to get everything unpacked, pressies for people sorted out, winter stuff bought put away. I also bought a dressmaking pattern whilst away and some lovely fabric so can't wait to get started on making my top. But need to be good and put everything else away first.

Must get back on track attacking 'Beast', but I think seriously that that may have to wait until I get another job.

Keiss did you get your knitting done?

I bought this wool in Blackpool to knit into a scarf

    http://www.tbramsden.co.uk/catalog/yarns/wendy-fashion/wendy_rococo

I've knitted before but never anything like this!

    Jobs update:

One of the jobs I applied for a few weeks ago, I have an interview in a few weeks (people on holidays). The rest I'm still waiting to hear about and its driving me nuts.

I was through in the city today and found a cheaper car park, but VERY creepy. Half of it was derelict, not well lit and I ran back to my car and locked the doors, maybe not one to go to again myself even if there were cameras everywhere its how it made me feel (yeah I know I'm a wuss).

Done clicks and a few surveys. Off to check bank balance.

Its bucketing down here today (and I can hear rumbles of thunder), I was volunteering today (details of my bargains in a mo) and got caught in the downpour on the way back to the car then again running (make that sliding) down the driveway to the front door.

Bargains for today (I know I shouldn't have as I've spent a lot in Blackpool but...), I got leather kitten heel sandals for £1 these look like they have been worn once (I've been after a pair for ages as I completely wore my last pair out). A small embellished chess set for OH (to put in with his birthday, it will need a little clean up but I'm sure he'll love it) and ....... a brand new freya bra in my size..... £2......this made my day! :j as I find it difficult to get bras in my size I like.

I also stopped in at Boots as I had 2x £5 off No7 voucher. Now I had bought a lot in Blackpool but thought I would stock up on my moisturiser since I'd get £5 off. There was a lady next to me had picked up a tube of foundation (I recognised her from the shop) so I asked her if she would like one of the money off vouchers I had (no chance I would use both before they expire). She was completely bowled over! She couldn't believe it, she said I'd made her day. :o.

Got a phonecall about another job from an agency so they have put me forward for that. Nothing back from the rest. I wish something would come up soon. :(

Got lots of bargains LT, I still haven't unpacked everything.

Putting together all my SIL's stuff tonight as I'm seeing her tomorrow. Had a very lazy day today as I'm not feeling too well (headache and feeling sick), applied for a few more jobs, no news on existing jobs and looked out some stuff to go onto ebay on sunday.

    Hope everyone's well.

Saw SIL this morning, she loved her bits and pieces. I don't know who was more excited, her or me :D

Curled up on the sofa, I should be doing some tarot but I am still quite tired. OH just off nightshift so he's finally gone to bed. We were going to go out for a meal tonight, something special but I'm not sure he'll wake up in time (we have a voucher).

I can't believe this weather, it just will not let up. My poor plants are battered with the rain and the grass is like a jungle. I'm hoping my veggies are ok, but I think I've lost my potatoes as I put too many in the one container. My herbs I need to cut back quite a bit then dry them. I'm wondering would my airing cupboard work?

Weigh in tomorrow, and I'm expecting to have put on weight (you can't eat ice cream every day on holiday and not put on weight even if you do do all that walking!). My SIL has given me a box of cereal bars (Alpen light, Special K and Nature Valley) as she didn't like this type so they will keep me going and are definitely better than a bar of chocolate!

Decided its time to get rid of the bedding I'd bought for SD's room. She never wanted it after she left here (along with aload of other stuff) and I really don't want the reminder if I use it on the bed in there iyswim, so its going into a bag along with some other bits and pieces and I'm taking it to one of those 'Cash for clothes' places. Is that bad? I had thought about making something else out of it (I need a new lightweight dressing gown and fancied making my own as I only have a heavy fleece one) but it would still be a reminder.

Decided I really need to tackle my 'office', I can barely get in there the way everything is. A lot needs thrown out (boxes etc) and the rest needs sorted out so I can find things (card making and hamper making stuff). I'd love to make a go of my hampers/nappy cakes/gift cakes (similar to nappy cakes only done for new homes, teens etc and done out of towels and clothes with lots of goodies hidden inside)/nappy motorbikes but the orders have dried up (I used to get a lot of orders through my old work).

Got 2 hours work for next week, not a lot but its something (pays the phone bill). OH gave me £100 as well this week and said he'll give me a £100 every week. Next week I need to take him to and pick him up from work as the hours he's working don't suit SS as he's nightshift. SS and OH are not getting on at the moment, thankfully SS is out for the night and first we knew of it was when he passed us as we were going home after seeing SIL.

    To do:-

    [STRIKE]

    water indoor plants
    [/STRIKE]
    [STRIKE]

    check bank
    [/STRIKE]
    surveys
    tarot

........and make myself a cuppa :coffee:, anyone else fancy one?

    :coffee: cuppa for you Dragon.

I was hoping I'd have work by now. Heard from a fromer colleague, he'd managed to get 6 weeks work (he'd been looking longer than me) but its finishing up shortly. All positives vibes gratefully received, I need a job very soon.

No meal out, we opted for a takeaway (thank you mse for the Dominos voucher :D) and a glass of wine.

I've knitted a bit more of my scarf, done some clicks but no tarot it seems quiet (guess everyones skint).
