OH has really p'd me off. Why is it if I don't want to talk or if I'm a bit grumpy then everything is 'my' fault, that me not having a job is getting to him (uh hello what about me?). I blew up at him last time he started all this. Why do men (sorry about the generalisation but it seems the be the majority I know) never learn a lesson. OH just doesn't understand that I'm p'd off getting mucked about by companies and there isn't any use in him calling my former company names, it isn't going to make me feel any better if anything it makes me feel worse.
I will be so glad to get away for a few days with my Mum.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. It's probably something in the water where you live. I've traditionally blamed lead in the pipes.unixgirluk wrote: »never learn a lesson. He's not interested in making you feel better. He's interested in making himself feel better. He feels better if he drags people down, because he's obviously one of those people who believe happiness is a zero sum game, and that if someone is to be happy, then someone else needs to be unhappy.unixgirluk wrote: »I will be so glad to get away for a few days with my Mum.

Leads pipes, I like it..... it certainly would explain a lot!
I love my holiday away with Mum, I've refused to let OH come along this year or any other year. I know that probably seems selfish but its something we've done for years (over 20).CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Money Stuff:
I spent ALL my holiday money. Bad I know, but I bought some lovely (well needed) new clothes and shoes. much cheaper than up here. Got gorgeous work shoes (leather) for £9, various tops, dresses and lots of other bits and pieces. Now I know I should have saved the holiday money (£300), but when I sat and worked out how much what I bought would have cost me elsewhere (will post a list of the goodies), I've saved over £600.
Trying to get pension sorted out from previous place. I've decided to invest this money rather than spend it, it can be there as a cushion until I get some work. OH has given me £280, but I may need to pay out £171 for an unexpected bill.
Work Stuff: I ended up having an interview (telephone) whilst away, this went very well and I'm waiting to hear. I still haven't heard about the other ones that I hoped to hear from before I went away.CC2 = £8687.86 ([STRIKE]£10000[/STRIKE] )CC1 = £0 ([STRIKE]£9983[/STRIKE] ); Reusing shopping bags savings =£5.80 vs spent £1.05.Wine is like opera. Apart from the stuff for myself I bought on holiday (and my Mum treated me to quite a few nice things as well as letting me pick out some stuff for Christmas and my Birthday..... we plan well in advance!
), I bought some birthday presents for OH (his is in a few weeks), some christmas presents for my Mum (fleece pj's she picked out, her and my Dad live in a house that has no central heating), a birthday present for one of my friends (the one that does the discount shopping card for my Gran) and some stuff for my SIL for going on holiday (she finds it hard to get stuff she likes where we stay) and enough make-up to last me for at least a year or two (much cheaper than I would have got it here) and I treated myself to a bottle of my favourite perfume. I managed to get a 100ml bottle there for the price of a 50ml bottle here.
I also bought some household stuff, 2 fleeces (tied with ribbon into squares to use as cushions until we need them) for £2.50. These will be perfect for the colder weather. I also got new teatowels, the ones I really wanted......sad eh?But I got 3 for £5 instead of £10 here.

Sounds like you had a great time away and managed to snaffle loads of super bargains, well done you! :T:T:T
Good luck with all your interviews, keeping all my fingers and toes crossed for you.
Been battling with a database all day, needed to change the design. Managed to create a data entry form than wouldn't let me enter data!!! Got it sorted it tonight (yay :j), not sure why what I did would have made any difference, but it did...hey hoh!
So much for getting some cross-stitching done tonight  I'm knitting tomorrow morning as I will be taking my friend into hospital for numeroous tests...think we'll be there all morning...at least! Looks like I'll get most of a sock done then
Good luck for the rest of the week xx
