Quick update - The courts and police have dropped it as they have no evidence.

It pays to contest these issues.

I see all to often number plates with the wrong spacing to spell a name or whatever - THIS IS WRONG! If I was the Police I would nick everyone with these illegal plates the owners are just prats!

Tow the cars and store them until they come and fit new legal plates. Mates been stopped
several times with his dodgy spacing. Only ever got one £30 ticket though. Only changes the
plate for the MOT then swaps it back.

Ditto a mate of mine - never got stopped, but had a spare set of "proper" plates that he put on for the MOT, then puts his "special" plates back on afterward.

( Personally I still think it's slightly childish to try and make number plates spell names or whatever, but that's just my personal view .... )

Well done, no point in rolling over when you are in the right.:T
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

Always expect the unexpected:eek:and then you won't be dissapointed

Fitted mine on the bottom using a length of piano hinge, just to help with speed bumps (of course, it meant if you were doing over 10mph the plate blew back so could not be seen by forward facing $cameras.

I wasn't going to mention that dodge, Dave, you've blown it for us all ;);)

A few others then if we are going honest?.

Break off 1/2 the No plate, claim attempted theft when the boys catch you.

Stick a large leaf, sycamore is preferreble, accross the plate with flour and water paste, starch see, so not a traceable "glue", (a copper taught me that)

Let a large slice of your boot floor protector accidentally hang out and obscure your plate, (might need weighing down a tad )

    Need I go on? rockon.gif

Seen a drift car with a plate like that. Front bumper held together by cable ties, and the plate attached by drilling two holes at the top and loose cable ties through the plate and through matching holes in the bumper.

For bonus points, it gives better airflow to the intercooler at speed :)

It does happen with incorrectly spaced [STRIKE]penis replacement[/STRIKE] personalised plates.

That's a very bitter statement. Are you sad you don't have a private plate?
This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

I'm all for private plates. But i'm dead against illegal spacing. Buy the plate that conveys your message or don't bother at all. Not really rocket science is it?
