Where he lives...he has a huge, lovely family who are all amazing and really, really lovely people. It's an absolutely beautiful, stunning area, really peaceful and there are loads of things for my little one to do. Great nurseries and schools near by. 2 brilliant universities if I end up doing the course I want to do. There aren't any disadvantages at all!

Yes, believe it or not there are some beautiful areas of Merseyside. I live in one of them ;) Not everyone lives on a terraced street like Bread!

Which area is it you are moving to? And from?

Why not hire a van from a national company where you are and return it In Liverpool? I'm sure that would be less costly.

Good luck to you both but do be sure to build your life around you and the little one should things not work out. If you're after any local knowledge, pm me i'll see if i can assist x

Looks like you have made up your mind what answer you want. So it is you who is wasting people's time as you know the answer you want. And it is not your thread alone. And the comment about saving money for 2 years was helpful. In my book.

How am I wasting anyone's time, I'm asking for advice about moving 300 miles away! I've never privately rented or moved anywhere other than in my own hometown before, so it's a massively daunting prospect and I need all the help and advice I can get before I go through with anything!

Well we've both weighed up the advantages and disadvantages on both sides...

Where I live....it's crap, ugly, nasty area...I don't have any family to stick around for. I've wanted to move somewhere new for a long time.

    That sounds really nice.

Would it be a possibility to apply for jobs up there before you move, to help afford a private rental?

There's loads of people wanting a swap from Merseyside to where the OP lives?

How do you know if you don't even know where the OP lives?

I don't, I never said I did. I meant there are loads of websites for mutual exchanges. I know this as I was registered with many. And had much interest. :D

I have moved 300 miles a couple of times.

Unfortunately it will take money, you will need the money for deposit and first month's rent and to hire a van at the very least assuming someone will help you load and unload, otherwises it is removal men.

It will cost you £1500 or so for all that I would think. But if it is what you want, just go for it! can the new fella not help a little?

Does the baby see the natural father? Will that have any impact?
:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.

The way I read it though, is she isn't looking for an answer on whether she should move but just how she goes about it?

There is no need to be snappy and defensive. Everyone isn't going to agree with you, and people may read your posts in slightly different ways.

    Agree with what though?
If I have read it correctly, she isn't asking should she move, but what are the logistics about moving.

She didn't ask for relationship or parenting advice as far as I can tell.
