  • if you are using them in tescos then they will still scan after the use by date, mine do not have a visable use by date, can't think where it went:confused:
    Another day another R&R

  • I used to work on the checkouts at asda until oct 06, and they told me customers where allowed to use any vouchers - so long as the amount did not total more than 10% of their sale.

I think it depends on how new the checkout assistant is though to wether or not they know this rule.

I sent out 8 lots (3 x £37 sets for each) of money off Somerfield vouchers to people on this site before Xmas(original post) ................and paid the postage!
Only one person bothered to say thanks!!!!!
This reminds me of when I first joined this site.
My Dyson broke and I really didn't want to throw it out. I mentioned it on here and people requested some pieces for spares.
It took ages to break it up (very tough those Dysons) and send off all the odd shaped bits to 9 different people on here.
It cost me over £11 and only one person acknowledged (thanked by PM) that they'd recieved their part, but she did send a book of 6 2nd class stamps.
I know we are all looking for bargains on here but to blag a co-blagger is a bit naughty in my opinion.
I don't think I'll be offering to send anything for free in the future............

Self scan tills cant read the dates...only the barcodes

The date only applies to Somerfield.

Used these in Asda today, no problem
    Couponing....."every little hurts"

Half of the people can be part right all of the time, Some of the people can be all right part of the time.
But all the people can't be all right all the time. .........I think Abraham Lincoln said that.

this type of thing is the reason MSE has the following rule

Shame we have to be told though. We are all on this board for the same reasons............to save money.
A little thanks go a long way. Most people don't mind what they do for others, but as I said Blagging a Blagger is a bit naughty imo.
    Happy New Year to all.
