you seem very organised. well done on focussing on the debt.
hope you continue not smoking, it is the best decision you will ever make

Sounds like a plan - what sort of thing were you thinking?!
We could have our own little diary too! xxx
Exactly what I was thinking! I'm on the DFW Let's get rid of the lbs not £££s thread, and I'll continue to update on there but it's kinda quiet. So I think we should start our own challenge...
We can have our own thread so we need to come up with a title - a really good catchy one that doesn't clash with the one above, don't want to tread on any toes!
I think we should include tips, links, recipes, thrifty weight loss ways etc. Also a weekly weigh in update (I weigh every Friday morning currently, does a Friday work for you?) and we'll have member numbers too which we can have on post number 2, post 1 can describe the challenge. In post 1 we can update with the post numbers of any good tips, recipes etc so they are easy to find for people... what dya think?!
Also, sorry I haven't been on your diary lately - or anyone else's! - this week's been manic again! Actually who am I kidding, they all are at the moment!

chev
Thanks chev, to be completely honest I've failed a bit on the non smoking this week, but again, it's purely when I hit a stressful situation that makes me go wrong. It's a work in progress but I really do want to stop once and for all, just a bit harder this time than it has been in the past
As for the debt, thanks, I wish I could pay more off and in some ways I could but for various reasons it benefits me more to keep paying as I am, it's not long to go and it's a big chunk - nearly a third of my salary every month, so my creditors are happy.
Thanks for dropping by

Moving Fund Savings
This isn't a challenge but nice to keep track. I need to save a MINIMUM of £1250 by the end of November. This CANNOT include any money from the payday on the last day of November, it has to be before then. I have budgeted so that I can acheive this from my salary every month, however the plan is to exceed this so I will be trying to top it up here and there, for example:
- at the end of a month, move all little bits left in my current account over to the ISA for the moving fund
- when my Terramundi fills up and I open it, I plan to take some for a Wii Fit, some to buy a new one (!) and the rest is for moving fund
- if I earn vouchers from surveys etc then I should use them to buy presents and use the money I have set aside to cover, e.g. £10 voucher spent on Amazon = £10 from Entertainment budget (temporarily where presents are coming from) into moving fund
Cut Off Date: 29th November 2011

Hehe thanks for the offer rdchick

Yes, like I said she's always been abrasive, sometimes rude, but just to turn like that was completely unexpected and uncalled for. She's effectively made up my mind for me! xxx
Haha, yes I was quite restrained it must be said! I showed my mum and she doesn't usually swear, but she looked at me and went "Oh my God, what a !!!!!!!!" haha
Weight is a taboo subject! Just kidding, mine's not going well at all. Basically I'm using my old tried and tested method of counting every calorie, I've done it for years. (Free app here)
Unfortunately, whilst I know the calorific content of everything that passes my lips, and exactly where I go wrong, I can't seem to stop eating...which is hindering the loss I feel! :rotfl: Me and rdchick and Sparkerly were going to be debt and weight loss buddies - you can join us if you like?
I was going to ask rdchick about this separately, but I was almost thinking we could start our own challenge and have little goals to follow or something... what do you guys think? xxx
Oh yes sounds great! make sure you post the link up here so i can find it :rotfl: I am weighing muself tomorrow after last weeks disaster of weighing myself 20 million times in 2 days (ok slight exaggeration :rotfl:) and i ended up putting on weight instead of losing it. And this week I haven't been really good so i'm not expecting much of a change! Think if we can all motivate one another (kick one another's butts) then maybe we might get on track

Sounds like a plan to me, love it! I need a kick up the backside as well a lot of the time to be fair, I'm a terrible binge eater (don't tell anyone, it's my dirty little secret!!!) but I used to weigh 18.5 stone and am currently 3.5 stone lighter than that. My lowest weight was unbelievably 11 stone 10... I can dream!!! But I was still fat! So in a way it was awful:rotfl:...
Anyway, yes I'll get thinking of better names for the Challenge, feel free to help with this, me and rdchick are going nowhere fast...well, she's better at it than I am!!!
Have a great week sweet
LC xx
