    Hey LC :)

I think I might have to agree with scotmum :(

You say that you are close to being able to afford a place of your own. How long would you have to stay in the shared place? Is it fixed? I'm not sure I could share with a boy  that I don't know very well and who is used to sharing his bathroom facilities with another boy :rotfl:

Are you reallllllllyyy unhappy where you are for now or is just the thought of having your own space/ away from parents etc that's making you think??

If your parents and friends are close to you now, how will you manage without their support when you are not 100%???

It's up to you though, just follow your gut instinct. I find it's rarely wrong :)

    Hey gorgeous lady!!

Long time no talk on here!

Oooh moving out, big stuff... I know how you feel with the pros and cons of moving out but I also am with the guys on this, can you really trust them not to screw you over (financially of course ;))?

I made a big mistake by moving out of my folks with a guy who thought he could afford it... I doubled my debt because of him :(

Only you can decide though sweet, make sure you really weigh up the reasons before you jump right in!

PS: when is the SA trip? we plan to go in September! xxx

    Hi guys

Firstly thanks for your replies! Maybe I wrote it in a biased way, but basically you're all mirroring what I was thinking anyway! :D

Mmmm that.s a tough one. You would have to be clear to the other gut that you're NOT a cleaner and would expect him to take his turn at the cleaning. It's going to save you money so more for you to put away for SA. I think it all comes down to how much you want to move from home

With regards cleaning, he is the cleaner of the two of them!!! But I don't think it's up to my standards. It would save me more money long term, however not for SA, it wouldn't be in time - it would be more for moving to my own place.

If you are doing alright where you are and saving for a place of your own I would stick with it sometimes the saying is true "better the devil you know". Hope this helps a little.

I am doing ok, I'm on the home stretch now, and thank you for reminding me of that saying, good point! :p

    HI!

I am close to being able to get my own place - with current budgets I will hit target on 31 July which means I can move out from the next payday on 31 August. Shared is 6 months minimum.
I'm not sure I could share with a boy  that I don't know very well and who is used to sharing his bathroom facilities with another boy :rotfl:

Yar, makes me shudder to be honest, and you haven't even seen it there! :rotfl:
Are you reallllllllyyy unhappy where you are for now or is just the thought of having your own space/ away from parents etc that's making you think??

No, I'm not really unhappy, I just am getting eager to move out and move on. By the time I leave here it will have been about 3x longer than I had planned when I came to stay after selling the flat. If I'd have known that, quite frankly I wouldn't have sold, I'd still be there now and struggling!
If your parents and friends are close to you now, how will you manage without their support when you are not 100%???

My friends are not close to my parents house, it's a 20-25min motorway drive to get to them. Add another 10 minutes and I'm at work. From the shared place they are 15 minutes drive and work is 10 minutes. Re parents, they don't know about my issues, well, mum knows a teeny bit but we don't speak of it, it's a bit taboo in my family.
It's up to you though, just follow your gut instinct. I find it's rarely wrong :)

To be fair my gut says just stick it out here, but I had to consider all options. I'm glad you guys have all echoed my thoughts though!!!

Yep, it's a contract between the 3 housemates and he has never had problems.

I am indeed! I made my final payments 1 Dec and confirmed it all on something like 28th with all the creditors! :T

Thank you, I'm really pleased!!! xxx

So guys, in summary, as you've all basically echoed what I was thinking anyway, it's just cemented it in my mind, so I'll stick with where I am. It's so much nicer - like a 4 star hotel compared to a grimy B&B. In the nicest possible way :rotfl:

Thanks so much for all your input!!!

Wowser, not long now! Are you excited?!

September is the start of Summer so can be mid to high 20's :) We are going to Cape Town as that's where the boys bestie lives so should be good... Seems a long way off saving wise though!

I miss you missy! These boards aren't the same without you! xxx
