How long did it take you to conceive after stopping the pill?

I found out when they do the scan and measure baby`s head to give an age. First time I queried this with the medic who assured me the scanning dates were very accurate. Simply counted weeks back to "fun filled evening". IE baby born 38 weeks after i stopped taking the pill. Midwife said she was full-term. Same thing happened with subsequent baby.0

i was in the same position as teachergirl with the periods, and didn't discover I was pregnant until 29 weeks with my first. It does happen more frequently than people think. I didn't think to do a pregnancy test initially as I was having periods, to me a period signalled, not pregnant.
I was having tests for this mystery illness, thinking I was dying as no one could diagnose, so the relief that I was pregnant was immense.
