I came off the pill and three days later I was pregnant:o:o:o. (We can pinpoint the exact occassion.) Only problem, I wasn't actually trying to get pregnant at the time. I always say to my hubby I was in charge of contraception for four years and we were fine, he was only in charge for three days and I was pregnant:eek:

Now very proud Mum to son of 17 and daughter of 14:D.
Hope it's good news for you needbucks but try to relax and not think about it too much;)

  • I stopped taking mine in December, fell pregnant in Feb and BFP in March - I'd been on the pill for 10 years or so.

    Good luck.

I stopped taking the pill last Friday, and we erm.. you know... did the deed.. on Sunday. From Monday I had my usual bleed - I guess it's a withdrawal bleed not a real period. But surely a bleed's a bleed, how can it be possible to get pregnant?

Is there any chance I could be?

I'm no medical expert but my guess is yes. I had to stop taking the pill for medical reasons which is why we were not planning to conceive. I actually had bleeds for the next four months at around the time I would have my period just very light. It took me awhile therefore to cotton on that I was actually pregnant. In fact we discovered for sure the day before we went backpacking around Indonesia:eek:
We did not rough it anywhere near as much as usual:D

I was pregnant within a week of stopping the pill every time. So basically each time I indulged in unprotected "fun" it resulted in a baby!:o

how do you know when you can take a pregnancy test? All the packs say the earliest you can take them is the day your period is due, or a few days earlier in some cases... but how do you know when that would've been?
